Ok - who are you, what do you do, where abouts in Florida do you live (or if you are not in Floirda, what part of Florida do you want to move too), what is your clinical area, you status (CNA, LPN, RN, Student, Whatever) and anything else you might want to add.
Some of you already know me, I lived in Florida for a little over 20 years. An RN, I worked and lived in Sarasota. Went to nursing school at Manatee Community College and also University of South Florida at Sarasota. Great place .... love the beaches and the area is truly a wonderful place. I generally work surgical recovery and while in Florida, I worked in post open heart step down and also worked as a nurse manager.
I am a single dad raising three children (all are now teenagers - whew is this rough!). They are really great kids and I am a very luck father to have them.
Next ...... :chuckle
hi, y'all! i'll be graduating from the adn program in about 3 weeks from daytona beach comm college. i'm aimee, 31, mother of one lovely daughter (3 going on 30), wife, and presently about to lose my mind (short trip that'll be). trying to decide what in the world i want to do after i grow up & graduate.i'm originally from the wilmington, nc area, & i've lived here in the great state of florida (in lovely downtown deltona) for going on 5 years now. i got into nursing wanting to eventually become a hhc & hospice nurse, & maybe to teach nursing some day. right now i'm not leaning towards any of that.
i'm here to soak up all i can from the vast knowledge of those who have gone before me, cause good gravy i need it. aimee

Hi there! My name is Jessica and I'm starting the Accelerated BSN program at USF this fall. Looking very forward to finally starting! I've been assigned to Bayfront for my clinicals which is good since I already work there!
Hi! I'm Maura, and I am starting at USF in the fall as well, although I have a year of prereqs to do here. Like someone else, I am a transplant from New Orleans after Katrina. I plan to apply for the accelerated bachelor's program for next year - I was in a similar one at LSU before the storm, but prereqs are different here. How hard was USF's to get into? I have good grades so far, but A&P looms before me. Good luck to you!
Hello, I am graduating in December :yelclap: with my BSN. I am thinking about moving to Jacksonville. I have been looking at Shands Jacksonville, b/c of it being a level 1 trauma center. I thought it would be a great experience for a new grad. I definately want to work in some type of critical care unit, but I am very interested in the Trauma unit.
Hi I'm from the UK & am just starting out on my journey to join you Florida RN's. I've just passed the dreaded N-CLEX & at the moment my CV is being prepared for distribution to various Florida hospitals.
I have a house in Homosassa (have had holiday home therefor 9 years) so am looking at an initial contract in Tampa (have been told my local hospitals are unlikely to file I-140) then, once I've finished that contract I would love to work in Oak Hill, Seven Rivers or the Hernando/Spring Hill Regional hospitals because they are the closest to home!
Of course, if any of you know if the above mentioned hospitals do file for I-140 I'd be grateful for the information!
