Florida Roll Call ......
I'm Heather, 29 years old, moving to Jupiter in two weeks from MA. I am a Registered Nurse (yeee haw!).. I currently specialize in Infectious Disease (HIV/AIDS), however I am thinking about returning to the hospital floors- yikes. I'm job hunting so help me out my Palm Beach County friends! Which facilities are great to work at? Which are awful (I know you RNs know!)

Help! Moving to Palm Beach County!
Hi everyone, I'm a Registered Nurse moving to Jupiter in about 3 months and I'm just beginning to job search. I specialize in HIV/AIDS medical management, however I am willing to look in other fields, even hospital nursing again. I would love to hear from fellow nurses what the pay scales are in the area, which hospitals/agencies are good to work for, etc., instead of just reading the want ads in the Palm Beach Post. Thank you! Heather

Jupiter area RNs- help!
Hi Josie! Thanks for the info! Actually, my sister lives in Loxahatchee at the moment, and my father and brother live in Boynton Beach, so they are not from Jupiter originally, however my sister is building a new home at the Paseos as we speak. I'm heading down in July with my husband to look at some models in the Paseos development, as well as Abacoa. My brother-in-law is a real estate broker so he's been a great help! I hear the area is beautiful and look forward to checking it out... I'm also looking forward to my new career down there! I have been a Hospice volunteer for a few years now, so that may be something that interests me- it's such a hard decision! I'm hoping I find employers desperate enough to hire me at the same rate I would be making here in Western MA. :) I would love any helpful hints you might have about the areat- thanks the the wonderful information about local hospitals! Take care, Heather

Jupiter area RNs- help!
Upon graduation in May 2005, my husband and I will be moving from MA to the Jupiter area. Family members in the area are not in the medical field, so I was wondering if you could help me! Where should I work?? I am interested in a year of med/surg experience, and RNs in my area up north start around $24/hour after graduation. What's the going rate in the Jupiter area? Also, I am unclear as to whether I am required to take the NCLEX exam in Florida, or if I take it up here in MA, would I just apply for a FL state license? Thank you!
