florida hospital or orlando health for new grad pay

U.S.A. Florida

I am trying to compare the two hospitals Florida hospital and Orlando health. I know the starting salary at Orlando health is $22.50/hr for BSN and $21.30/hr for associates, the nurse patient ratio is 1 to 5, and night differential is $8.75 and weekends $3.20. Has anyone got accepted in the new grad program at Florida hospital if so can you share the location and floor starting pay for new grads, shift differential? What it is like working at Florida hospital? For example, the work environment and support from staff members along with how long the training is based upon the unit or floor you work on. Thanks.

Hi...yes the Residency program...thxs!

I'm not really sure that Orlando Health is actively doing their residency program but I just got hired there. I know Florida hospital is active with theirs.

Hey Amberraye - I just got an offer from the ICU at East Orlando for the August Program. I was wondering how you liked it so far as for the position and the hospital itself.

Also, where did you choose to live? any information would be amazing!! They don't give you much noticed to reply and make an answer and i'm so overwhelmed!

thank you :)

I am interested in this post, as I may have to travel to that area for jobs Thank you for those that are posting the process. If you are out of town, do they first do a phone interview, and then you if picked for face to face, can you pick which day of the week? Also, the cost of living for a studio is it high?

I just applied to Florida Hospital and Orlando Health new graduate program, anyone have any tips on how to increase my chances to be hired.

Hello everyone! I just got a job offer in the PCU at the Orlando campus of Florida Hospital! I will be relocating from Massachusetts, does anyone need a roommate?

Can anyone who accepted a position at FH PCU, CTU, Neuro unit, or ICU please comment with what your experience has been like?!?!?

Are you still in the program? How do you like working there?

I am finishing my BSN and graduate in August. I am going to apply to both Orlando and florida hospitals. I really dont want to do the GN programs, is it possible to get hired as a new grad? FH is offering a nice $10,000 bonus for people relocating to florida, which is what i am doing. I have my B.A. in Psychology and 3 years experience working in Telemetry/ICU/Med surg/ortho/rehab as an nurse aide/tech/CNA. Will they interview if I apply a month before i graduate? Thanks!
