HESI CAT info
My school offered the HESI EXIT and the HESI CAT tests and had min acceptable scores to have our info sent after graduation to be processed to sit for the NCLEX. I just took the HESI CAT and there was some information that we did not know at first. There are 3 different score categories: Acceptable, Min Acceptable, or not acceptable. Acceptable means you are ready, min means you are close, and not means you are not. The test shuts off just like the NCLEX. One classmate of mine had it shut of at 85 questions as min acceptable. One had it shut off at 155 as min acceptable. I had mine shut off at 85 and got acceptable. What this means is that by question 85 I was on the right side of the line enough that I was done and ready, just like the NCLEX does. my friend with the 85 and min acceptable means that he was below the line too long and they shut him down. My other friend with the 155 means that he battled at that line for a long time but just couldn't stay above it long enough. I didn't have anyone get not acceptable. So, shoot for that acceptable, min acceptable is not a good thing as some posts on here will tell you. I found this out right before the test and it had me flustered, but I jumped for joy when I got that Acceptable. Remember, its just like the NCLEX, if you are still getting questions, you are still in the game!!!

Orlando Health/ Dr. P. Philips Hospital new graduate nursing program?
The best thing to do is to apply for an ER position and then contact HR to let them know you applied. I did this and its how I got my job as a new grad. I did not need to sign a contact for PCU yet. but normally it means you have to work their for two years and not get fired or quit.

Orlando Health/ Dr. P. Philips Hospital new graduate nursing program?
I just accepted a position as a new grad BSN RN on PCU. I was offered $23.22 an hour as a new grad, and I start in September. I chose them over florida hospital as I heard patient ratios for nurses and their CNA's are horrid. Orlando Health was my first choice, and Dr. P Phillips Hospital seems to be a great location. I had a great interview, and received the offer 2 days later. I am excited to start!

florida hospital or orlando health for new grad pay
I just accepted a position on PCU at Orlando Health Dr. P Phillips hospital. I heard horrible things about work at Florida Hospital, and decided not to interview there because Orlando Health was my first choice. I am super excited. Anyone else starting in mid September at my hospital?

New Graduate looking for Orlando/Tampa area jobs!
Hello all! I am currently in an Accelerated BSN program and will graduate mid August. I will be relocating and looking for a job as a new nurse in the Orlando or Tampa areas. I also hold a Bachelors in Psychology, and am a retired Air Force veteran. I am also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. I am wondering what hospitals have new graduate programs, and how I can get myself a spot in them! I know that Florida hospital and Orlando Health do, but where are some other places to apply? Any tips and or hints to land that job? I have over 2 years experience now as a Nursing Assistant on Telemetry, Med/Surg/Oncology, ICU, Rehab, and Ortho, along with my clinical experiences in school. Any and all advice would be appreciated!

Sadly, discrmination against male nurses still rampant in job applic process
this is exactly my thought. Male nurses are highly sought after now adays. i got my current job as a nurse tech because i was male and in school. I am constantly approached at my clinical sights to when i will be graduating and if I will apply at that hospital. Everyone now a days loves male nurses. Its probably because this dude has a ****** pity party personality that he has no job yet. Or it could be the grades? Maybe references? but definitely not because he is a male.

florida hospital or orlando health for new grad pay
I am finishing my BSN and graduate in August. I am going to apply to both Orlando and florida hospitals. I really dont want to do the GN programs, is it possible to get hired as a new grad? FH is offering a nice $10,000 bonus for people relocating to florida, which is what i am doing. I have my B.A. in Psychology and 3 years experience working in Telemetry/ICU/Med surg/ortho/rehab as an nurse aide/tech/CNA. Will they interview if I apply a month before i graduate? Thanks!

UPenn Direct Entry BSN/MSN 2015
I received my notification in November and then had my interview on Dec. 8th for the BSN/MSN direct entry for Family Nurse Practitioner. As far as I know, if you were considered for the BSN portion you would have received an interview in janruary for that program.
