Does anyone like their job?

I see so many posts that say "I hate my job, etc". Does anyone here actually enjoy their job? LOL

Atleast I love my job. Even beasting out 48-52 hours a week I love it.

I love my job. I think its less common for people to take the time to post about loving their job. People are more apt to want to vent off their frustrations after a bad day/month/year.

I love my job! Disappointed that it doesn't ay as well as I thought it would, but love the work!

Specializes in hospice.

I like my job. Some days I love it.

Specializes in LTC, Rural, OB.

I mostly love my job! Granted I am only 2 months into it and just came off orientation 2 weeks ago, but I really like it so far. I am a new grad and I started in LTC right out of school 4 months ago...did not like that. Transitioned to the hospital and I just enjoy being able to do a multitude of skills and not have to deal with the CNA drama. All of the nurses I work with are amazing and have no issues teaching me or answering my insane amount of questions. There are nights once in a while where some of my patients drive me looney toons but that makes life interesting.

I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!!!!

Specializes in neonatal.

Love my job too!

I work on a c-section postpartum and post-op gyn unit. I've been here for almost 3 months, feeling nervous about coming off orientation soon but I really like it so far. I feel so lucky and grateful

Love my job. I think too many people have a misconception of the work involved in nursing. It is a hard job. It requires you to be at your best every day. It is much more than wearing scrubs with a stethoscope flopped over your neck and hanging out with other nurses and doctors.

Most days I really like my job..Some days I nearly love it and some days..well, some I question how I got myself into this mess lol. But overall, I like it. I'm a medsurg nurse and have only been working since June. I know medsurg isn't where I will stay, but I do work with quite a good group of people that I know will be hard to leave behind whenever I decide to try a new unit. Most of them very helpful and u don't feel crazy asking them questions when I just don't know. And now that I'm no longer the newest nurse on the unit, I also help other people out. I've had students follow me and many patients compliment and thank me..and that's what makes my day that much better. :)

Specializes in Pediatrics, Emergency, Trauma.

I love being a nurse...sometimes that is better than liking a job. ;)

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

I'm still waiting for "the" job, but I do home infusions PRN, and I really enjoy it. I plan to keep this job even once I'm working in my desired field. I love the flexibility, it's very chill, the company is easy to work with, they pay well, I say yes or no to each job, my patients are awesome, I just can't complain. I'm grateful I had IV experience before being a RN (former Navy corpsman), which enabled me to get this job. I've been doing it since July, and I look forward to seeing where it takes me! So far, I've made a VERY good contact from one of my patients, who is trying to help me to get a hospital job.
