Use this interactive tool to calculate the number of people who will need a vaccine in each state and county — and where you might fit in that line.
I'm towards the very top.

I am with 868k other elderly in line behind 118.5 million people across the United States. Being retired my only risk factor is age.

I have "very few" people ahead of me.
I have no idea what that means.
I am healthcare, but not a front line worker (I don't work with known COVID patients.)

That was interesting.
"When it comes to Alaska, we think you’re behind 608,300 others who are at higher risk in your state."
LOL. Our current population = 683,879

I'm surprised at how far down the food chain I am, being over 60 and having most of the risk factors for COVID. I'm behind something like 300,350 in my state, and 26,500 in my county alone. They're even talking about the vaccine going to prisoners here before most of the elderly and other higher-risk populations. I think there will be a major outcry from the people if this were to happen.

The spread in prisons and deaths from it have been disgraceful. Yes, there would be public outcry, but it would be unfortunate. A prison is far more likely to have a catastrophic outbreak than older Americans with health issues who are staying home, social distancing, masking and hand washing. Prisoners would not be getting it before nursing home residents.

I'm somewhere in the middle of the line. The state doesn't consider corrections nurses to be front line HCP's, so I selected essential worker(even though we have alot of people in or covid pod now). Had a few co-workers die from it, and multiple inmates, yet my DON still thinks it's not a big deal, and states that if we catch covid, just take some Tylenol, and come to work, because we're so short(she just locks herself in her office and isolates).

My place is after they pry my cold dead hands from my guns or perhaps after I'm intubated with my third bout of Covid (I've had it twice). No interest in the vaccine unless it is forced and even then I will probably give up my Pysch NP gig and drive Uber first if that is an option (who knows Uber might require it as well).
