Finally Here 12 MONTH LPN PROGRAM IN DETROIT

Published

DMC and Oakland community college is sponsoring a short term 12 month LPN program through the michigan works agency no more driving to Toledo...classes have already started. Just thought I would spread the word!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Everest Institute has an Lpn program that just started this Jan it's a year to. The only drawback is that it's about 16,000 dollars but with financial aid and a loan or two it can be done. Just wanted to put that out there for those of you who are having a hard time with the Health Career Center. Good Luck!

jackyo youre awesome. (just a side note -lol)

I went to an orientation at everest 2 weeks ago (as back up to the detroit program just in case) and it sounded like a great excellerated program, however the cost was too much for me.

Its starts at over $27,000 then they brake it down with the $4k grant and then federal loans (if you qualify - which i dont) and then there is still the $16k left over that you mentioned. So its not for me, but

if you guys out have the funds or abililty to finance that... the everest program in southfield seemed great!!

One more note to help with everest... they DO accept the No worker Left Behind funds offered thru Macomb and Oakland counties (only - Not detroit residents though), so that could help you out if you fit under that area.

Lastly Everest is taking students for their September program right now so call them if you are interested and want a quick start, quick finish.

Hey guys, does anyone know if you can take the detroits cna program in the evening.

Hi everyone, I keep hearing that Everest has an LPN program in Southfield but I looked on their website and couldn't find any info on it. The closest was Grand Rapids. Anyone have any info on this???

My last post on Everest was actually about the Southfield location. They just started offering the lpn program at sthfld that's why it probably doesnt advertise it just yet.

I went there for their information session on the lpn program. All the info i wrote of(cost) is current and accurate of their LPN program. The next class starts in september and you can simply call their southfield campus and ask for the lpn program dept. You can make an appt to go in for information or wait for their next group lpn orientation, which i believe is in a couple weeks.

Call them at Southfield and they'll give you some info on phone as well as make you an appt.

Only thing, if i didnt mention it already, is

they are COSTLY- but if you work or have the ability to pay a monthly pmt (hundreds of dollars a month) after grants & nwlb funds.. then they are a quick alternative to waiting for the local community colleges (if you dont qualify for the detroit program)

depends what your situation is and your needs

lastly, check on some other threads on everest on here as well, i saw some that may give you more info on the actual school...

What does TSPN stand for?

Toledo School of Practical Nursing!

Has anyone else gotten into this program yet? Any new updates on how its going with this program?

What Happen To All The People That Were Applying? Have Anyone Started Success Or Schedule To Start Success In July?

I'd like to hear from them as well... seeing how my file has been at the school now for over 3 weeks and waiting, due to what they say is a "full" class list for july (and possibly august). therefore im curious WHERE all these admitted students are???

lol

I really want to start by august but am waiting....

They told my sister in law that they lost her file and she had to do everything all over again. She was so ******! They are so unprofessional its ashame! I won't be trying to go there.

It's about time they brought a 12 month LPN program back to the area! I was actually searching for that until I decided driving Toledo wasn't possible and enrolled at WCCCD to work towards an RN. Thank you for posting this news. I know it will be extremely helpful to many people.

I have read almost all the posts here and still feel confused.

Arent there any pre-req's like at OCC for this program?

NWLB is only $5000 a year and they dont pay pre-reqs.

How can the programs be so different to sit for the NLCX-PN? Its the same test they give no matter whre you go to school.

Does anyone know the pass rate for the PN at this school?

JUst seeing did any of you get in the school yet?
