Finally Here 12 MONTH LPN PROGRAM IN DETROIT

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

DMC and Oakland community college is sponsoring a short term 12 month LPN program through the michigan works agency no more driving to Toledo...classes have already started. Just thought I would spread the word!

LOL, your funny Purpose! Good luck, I'll drive to Toledo before I stress myself out with these people. If there is anyone who's gotten into the program, please shed some light to the rest of us as to what we have to do! Thank you.

hi sirena922,

are you talking about the toledo school of practical nursing? i have information on that school. could you tell me how hard is it to get in to the program? if this is not the school you’re talking about, let me know what school you are going to go to? i am really getting sick of the bs with detroit healthcare career center.

thanks

Yeah I'm talking about TSPN. I received a packet from them, ordered the NET Study guide so I'm practicing whats in the book which is really basic math, and reading comprehension. But the comprehension is what I'm really working on. Did you get the packet from them yet? The test is $50 and registration is $50. I believe they start 4 times a year too. I'm going to go in a couple of weeks to take the test.

You guys seemed to get ALOT more info than i did at the initial seminar.

I believe i DO qualify, but i cant afford to put all the time into doing their steps if im going to not make it in this fall.

Its a time issue with me so i cant afford to waste anymore...

Does anyone know the TIME FRAME into getting in??

And how can i light a fire under their a__'s ;-) in order to get this ball rolling. Its been 3 weeks since i went to the seminar and i took the test and now they are "trickling" info to me saying "you need to bring your diploma" - I HAVE TO ORDER THAT (3-4WEEKS) CUZ I MISPLACED MINE.

Just a bunch of little misc things that i want to know ALL UP FRONT so that i cant hurry and get it all and move forward.

Anyone out there able to give me a

TO DO LIST to help me out.

feel free to just private message me if easier.

thanks soooo much

Yeah I recieve the packet from them. Have you taken the CNA course yet? I haven't; I need to start that. My packet stated that the next class is septembe 30, 2008. They also have night classes if you need to take them. I thinking it would pretty hard working and going to school. That drive is going to kill me; especailly with the gas prices are at $4.0p.

Morgan, I truely understand. I'm going to take the test for next year class of March. Hopefully something will have changed by then with the gas prices. I'm going to take a CNA class here before I even apply to the school so that I'll already have it. I want to get a job in the field so I can at least work 20 hours a week.

Sireana922, I was thinking the same thing. You might want to try looking into schoolcraft college. They have a LPN program and it not really hard to get in and then you can do their ladder program once you complete. I am looking into that, I don't have time for the mess detroit healthcare career center is talking about.

Anyone interested in attended toledo school of practical nursing, willing to carpool?

Hi everyone... hope youre all doing well :-)

I was wondering who of you are CURRENTLY enrolled in the Detroit Healthcare Career program and already started or completed classes??

Or If you are... could you private message me?

Thanks so much.

I am in the "jump threw hoops" phase right now ;-) lol but i believe at the final part of it and hoping to get accepted into the program in the next few weeks (KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED - you never know what restriction might come up that i dont know about yet -lol)

But i do love everyone at the Milwaukee center that ive come into contact with thus far.. I now hope that all the effort & time put fort gets me in.

WE'LL SEE :-)

Anywhoooo - anyone in the program??? Contact me please.

Thanks

What does TSPN stand for?

I just wanted to let everyone know that Everest Institute has an Lpn program that just started this Jan it's a year to. The only drawback is that it's about 16,000 dollars but with financial aid and a loan or two it can be done. Just wanted to put that out there for those of you who are having a hard time with the Health Career Center. Good Luck!
