Are these wreaking havoc in your schools yet??? Here in MA they are EVERYWHERE and getting banned from schools left and right.
Many of our kids have them. They 3-D print them in class then just have to add the bearing. I guess because it's a class project, it's ok. Earlier this year they were printing toy size tanks and having fights with them so...
Our tax dollars at work. Purple eye roll guy would be here if AN didn't mess with the format!
Fidget spinner update: My mother in law took my son to buy a fidget spinner with his own money. Next day took it to school with strict instructions to follow his teachers rules. Lost it by the end of the day. He says he can get it back if I write his teacher a note asking for it but I told him that his teacher's desk is perfectly safe place for it to be for the next five weeks....lesson learned kid
I got the background story on all the fidget spinners in my district. Our middle school robotics class is making them with the 3-D printer and selling them for $5. They are using the proceeds to buy another robot and have earned almost $300. The teacher has turned it into a lesson in entrepreneurship, marketing, supply and demand. Apparently the class cut off orders for the year yesterday because they are behind by 90 orders and waiting 2 weeks for more bearings to arrive!
