Hello everyone....
I just received my ATT to test today... I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on February 8, 2010 which is about 3weeks.... I would like for anyone who is scheduled to take NCLEX in the month of February to share their stories and stradigies for preparing for NCLEX exam..... We can accomplish this together...
I am using NCLEX 3500. the Saunders CD & textbook as my resources.... I do 150 question in test mode each day... I use my school's library as my focal point for studying because being at home for me JUST DONT WORK:eek:. I love it because my schools' library has open access to alumunae graduates.... I know this may sound korny but I can't wait to take it... I know we can ALL do this together...
WE MUST STAY CALM, CONFIDENT, FOCUS, & POSITIVE on this journey to becoming an official RN:nurse:
I loved the Hurst review too, I havent looked at 5th day DVD yet, but i am looking forward to it.Also, the hurst lady told us to print the files on the CD that was attached to the book, because it has all kinds of tips and lab values (I have not looked at those yet too). Anyways, like you said, I liked the review too.
Good luck to all of us!
I wanted to do hurst after reading about it...I need the background info for the patho as well...I believe that is what I am lacking and that would be a good place to get it...but I know I can't take that on top of Kaplan right now...so I will have to do the best I can with what I have!
I got my ATT on Jan 13th. Searched around at 5 five testing centers to find the earliest time/date available. Going to take it Jan 27th. Thank God!! I have to drive an hour and a half to take it, but it's worth it. I just want to get it done and over with. I'm tired of studying and waiting and of not having a job!!!
I'm using Saunders comprehensive NCLEX review. I've just about completed reading it and doing every question in the book. I also use the CD; I just randomly pick an area and do 100 questions each time. I read each rationale for every question regardless if I get it right or wrong. I feel i'm well prepared for the test. Now I just have to take it
Count me in!! I am awaiting my ATT and plan on taking NCLEX in February!! I am excited and nervous...........I'm sure ya'll understand. I am using Saunders, Sylvia Rayfield CD's and Kaplan. I did not find the Kaplan very useful, but I am loving the Sylvia Rayfield. It sounds alot like the Hurst in the way they teach you to answer questions. I am working on doing at least 50 questions daily and reading Saunders for content and listening to CD's.
We can all do this!!
Congrats to all of us for getting this far!!!
LMM1019 - i thought my ATT was coming in the mail - and duh - it was E-mailed! so be sure to check ur email for ATT.
kaplan is a win win! we can do it! :yelclap: i am almost finished kaplan and i will do 100 questions every day until test day. ugh - a little nervouse but my confidence is building because i am getting answers right on Kaplan. scores are going up!!! i hope i get that 65% on my readiness exam next friday!
