February NCLEX Test Takers....

Published

Hello everyone....

I just received my ATT to test today... I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on February 8, 2010 which is about 3weeks.... I would like for anyone who is scheduled to take NCLEX in the month of February to share their stories and stradigies for preparing for NCLEX exam..... We can accomplish this together...

I am using NCLEX 3500. the Saunders CD & textbook as my resources.... I do 150 question in test mode each day... I use my school's library as my focal point for studying because being at home for me JUST DONT WORK:eek:. I love it because my schools' library has open access to alumunae graduates.... I know this may sound korny but I can't wait to take it... I know we can ALL do this together...

WE MUST STAY CALM, CONFIDENT, FOCUS, & POSITIVE on this journey to becoming an official RN:nurse:

Hello! I'm taking NCLEX-RN on Feb 6th! I took the Kaplan Class, and doing 150 questions a day on the Kaplan Q bank. I also starting doing questions on NCLEX RN 3500 and I've purchased the NCLEX exam cram book to study. My plan is to do questions, questions, and questions! and from other post, make sure I know my lab values, Infection Control, and developmental stages

Recently I've been going through the thread about 'NCLEX random facts' and that has been really helpful. Also, I think I'll devote more time to studying SATA-type questions and pharmacology. If anyone is interested, I attached some nursing pharmacology notes, a common medication list, and common pathology database (including nursing assessments and responsibilities).

I'm like you....can't wait to take it. I rescheduled mine for Feb 4th because there was a 2pm time slot available. (The other one was at 8am....I'm not a morning person.) I will keep this date unless I chicken out and just don't feel ready. It's almost over, YEAH!!!!

I am using Hurst Review and answering the questions from the NCSBN review website, plus going over some Saunder's. Hope that will be plenty.

I think you're right.....we must stay calm, confident, focused, and positive. Without those key components, I won't make it.

Good luck to you! :nurse:

Dear Father,

We come to you right now just to say acknowledge just how merciful you have been to us during one of the most challenging times in the history of our world. Lord...You are the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end. You are Abba Father!!! We truly honor and magnify your precious and Holy Name even in the darkest days. We understand as your children that you are the light of the world.

We thank you for opportunity to serve as "caregivers" to the wounded, burdened, downtrodden, mentally and physically challenged. We believe that you did not bring us this far to leave nor forsake us as we embark to obtain our registered nurse/practical nurse license. Your word says, Ask and it shall be given, seek and yea shall find. So right now...God, right now I am asking that you bind every spirit of worry, depression and anxiety upon my sisters, brothers and I as we endeavor to pass the NCLEX
RN
/PN examination. Lord give us calm spirit. Shower down confidence on us. Most of all we have built our trust in you and not some examination. Grant us FAVOR right now !!!!

You promised that we shall be victorious in 2010. 10 is the biblical number of "DIVINE PERFECTION". 2010 you said you will bring forth a NEW GENERATION of Nurses, Leaders and Providers who walk with boldness and as advocates for patients. Those who put greed over patients shall be no more.

Heavenly Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, "OUR KIND AND LOVING PROVIDER". Lord those of my brothers and sisters who are experiencing any lack and financial hardships I am petitioning you to provide supernatural provisions. I command it right now under the sound of my voice!!!! I decree and declare that all spirits of worry and anxiety are eradicated right now. It shall be turned into calm and peace to weather the storm for our preparation for our licenses. Finally, we ask that if it be in your perfect will for each one of us to pass the NCLEX PN/
RN
exam at the appointed time i.e. in your perfect timing.

We thank you in advance for your grace and mercy on our lives and on our vocation as registered/practical nurses in the final making.

AMEN !!!!!

P.S. I hope I have not offended anyone with my post. Only done in love for those of us who have requested prayer.

Thanks for sharing that prayer, I needed that! I truly feel refreshed. :redbeathe

Taking my NCLEX-PN exam on Feb 22nd. I work fulltime 12hr noc shifts as a PCA so whenever im not busy I review my labs or meds ,whatever there is to memorize only cuz studying at work doesn't work, thats what Hurst review recommends :) I am currently reviewing from HURST online and doing 200Qs from ExamCram CD(I found some people passed with it). This will be my 3rd attempt and i also suffer from test anxiety so good luck on every1 taking it next month. Got 5 weeks left!

Wow, stripec30, this info in the NCLEX study guide is invaluable!!! Where did you find this or did you make it all yourself?

I m taking the RN exam end of Feb for the 4th time, I urgently need someone to tell me where can I take a simulated exam in order for me to know which ones are my weak areas. Even after so many tries I can't pass the 69%, I am going crazy

I've been doing the questions on the NCSBN website. You can sign up for 3 weeks for $50. I feel the test questions are much more difficult than those in the Saunders book. I haven't taken the test yet but feel they are helping me to prepare. They are the ones who are writing the exam, so I feel that one can't go wrong by doing their questions. Hope I am not wrong about that.

Have you tried listening to the Hurst review?
