I know it is kind of early to start this thread but I thought maybe there were some others out there who are planning on applying for fccj/fscj fall 2010 RN program. Hope you will post on this thread!
I'm wondering what the evening/weekend program cut off ends up being? Obviously its super competitive, and its my understanding there were people from spring who declined daytime seats in order to reapply for e/w this summer. I'd save so much money on childcare if I were able to get into the e/w program!!! I'm guessing 213 isn't going to cut it though. Any thoughts?
Another girl posted on a different thread that she got nights/weekends with 217 so you should be good. I really don't know what the cutoff is. They only give the cutoff for the program. I am going to apply with 207.56 so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I think I am going to take the NAT 1 more time to try to get my points up.
"had to share yet another story of frustation! i went to make an appointment to take my nat again since i took it for the first time feb. 1, 2009 and then again in june. i told the lady that i last took it on feb 1 and that i needed to schedule it for that day and i would just walk my new scores across campus and do it all on the last day of the application deadline! (and you're gonna love this!) she looks up at with me the most pitiful look and says "oh sweetie, you took it on feb 3!!!". and "you can't take it again until feb 3"!!!! seriously????? could i have any worse luck????? i was so disappointed.....
so, i will be applying with a measly 194 points and praying for the best! luckily i do not want nights/weekends so im keeping my fingers crossed.
has anyone else been so close to the cutoff for your nat and had the same situation?"
jkvanso,
that is absurd! you can take the nat every 90 days, not once a year. you need to go back and yell at someone.
(sorry about my quote... for some reason my regular quote feature wasn't there)
Thanks mistimartin for looking out for me!![]()
I turned in my application today and I asked what number my application was....are you ready?? I was number 388:eek:!!! And that was only 3 o'clock this afternoon. So, Im sure it's another 400+ application period!
Are you applying for Summer or Fall?
That's right... yesterday was the deadline, wasn't it? Well, at least we can be glad its not a first come/ first serve thing. Otherwise, It would be like Black Friday morning at Best Buy at the North Campus... people camping out and tripping people...
The best of luck to everyone! (and by "best of luck" I mean, as long as I get in I wish you guys luck in getting in too. Otherwise, its each man/woman for themselves... Juuust kidding...
or am I....
I am applying to both UNF and FCCJ for Fall 2010. I am taking the TEAS the last week in February. I am wondering if there is that much difference between the two exams? I plan on taking the NAT the same week. I have both books and can study both, but I am currently studying the TEAS book. If anyone has taken both tests and knows if the same basic information is covered, please let me know!
Thanks,
Laura
