  1. The best advise I was given was to plan to pay for everything yourself. Do not depend on your financial aid. Then if it goes through it is a bonus for you but if it doesn't you are still good. I know it's stressful but you can find a way!!!! Have a Merry Christmas!!!
  2. I did all of the same info and I was still denied. I even went and met with the Dean and it didn't help. :-( That's not to say you might not get an approval. But on a good note we just finished up 1st term and are on to term 2! I found a way to pay for my classes. :-) Good luck!!!!!
  3. I am in the N/W for Fall term 2010 and applied with 223.56. Hope this helps! Good luck!!!!
  4. As Marina says "Us future Nurses have to stick together!"
  5. Totally agree with you! I'm glad we finally got to meet yesterday. I am bummed that you aren't with me for clinicals but at least we will be together for classes. Hopefully next semester we can be together for clinicals as well. If anyone has not gotten their skills kit yet you may want to try to get it today or tomorrow. When I went there at 4:00pm yesterday they where running VERY low.
  6. i'm nervous as well. i keep going over my list again and again to make sure i didn't miss anything, like something new is going to pop up! lol i hate that i can't get my financial aid in line either. i just graduated from unf on friday so they won't look at my financial aid until my degree is posted and they asses my transcripts. we finally paid off all of our credit cards and here we go again adding more! does anyone know how we get registered for our classes? i am assuming it will be done after we find out what section we are in. i am in the nights/weekends so i know we only have 2 choices. i think i read that the payment deadline has been extended to august 18th. so basically we will be registered and then payment is due immediately, right?
  7. Yeah!!!! Just turned in all my paperwork at North campus. Oh, by the way. You can't get a student ID there until Fall term. They said they are replacing their machine. I went back up to the nursing office and asked when we needed it by and they said as long as we have it prior to starting clinicals we are good.
  8. I am so sorry I missed everyone today, there was just no way I could get there. Please fill me in on what I missed.
  9. I'm so excited to meet everyone on Sunday!
  10. My Hep B titer came out negative as well. I'm 31 so when I was younger they didn't require the Hep B. I think people who are in their 20's should have gotten it when they where born, unless their parents declined to have them vaccinated. My daughter is 19 months and I know they gave it to her in the hospital.
  11. make sure you get your titers done soon. it takes 5-7 business days to get them in and everything has to be in no later than august 10th.
  12. Yeah!!!!
  13. WOW! That is really high. I had 223.56 and I was worried. Everyone told me not to b/c the cut off was usually way lower. It just goes to show you that you never know. It all depends on who you are up against. Kudos to everyone for such high points!!!!! :yeah:
  14. I'll be honest. Don't expect to get FA prior to having to pay for classes. I am in the same situation. I am graduating from UNF on Friday and was told to be prepared to pay for the 1st semester and then "if" the financial aid is approved it will pay me back.
  15. We have to get our tops from Meridy'd but you can get the bottoms from anywhere.
