  1. FYI to those that applied for the Summer....they are still filling seats! I was called yesterday and told that another seat opened up and I was next on the list. I declined the seat since I've already been accepted into another program. Good luck!
  2. FYI....I got a call today that "another seat came open" and I was next on the list. I was number 110 or 111 I think. I declined the seat because I already started the program somewhere else..... Good luck to number 112
  3. Congrats!!! I was coming home to hurry and post this to you! I was in orientation today (SJRCC) and there was a girl beside me that was accepted into FSCJ and declined her seat by the accept/decline deadline!!! I thought you were next in line???? Anyway, glad someone ELSE declined so you could get in!!! She said she had 220 POINTS !!!!
  4. I'm so happy you're getting to retake Sociology! I have to say it does bother me that FSCJ is so misleading with students. If I had been able to retake ENC110 (that I originally took in '92!) I would have had NO problem getting into the program this past spring or this summer. However, I was told NO WAY, NO HOW by the DEAN! So frustrating! So, JenPerez, I say to you....RUN and sign up for that class quick! LOL Now, I am going to orientation at SJRCC tomorrow:yeah: and I'm well on my way to become a !!! So, all in all, I am glad that it worked for me. Just frustrated for others, like yourself, that have such a hard time retaking classes that are soooo old! SJRCC, so far, has really impressed me with their professionalism and positive and siwft responses! Good luck with the sociology class and you WILL get in for the fall......you could with the points that you have right now :)
  5. Good luck!!!!
  6. Well, it's a good thing that you're not holding your breath! That is insane that letters have not gone out and orientation is on Monday!!!
  7. No letters yet??? Strange.......
  8. Yes, I know but letters are usually gone out by now. I have a friend with 196 points and she's hoping to get one of the seats that weren't accepted. I accepted my seat at SJRCC.
  9. I'm just curious if anyone has received a "rejection" letter from the summer yet? I would've thought they'd be mailed out by now! Crazy.
  10. I only know what my friend (that started in Jan) has told me. She said that she had to have them both. The H1N1 and the reg flu shot. I guess we will get more info on the 30th for that! Can't wait =)
  11. Thanks! I think Im going to go to a place close to me. I have a name of someone in Orange Park.
  12. Where did you get certified and what was the cost? I need to get mine done and the sooner the better =) Thanks...... .....Im getting excited!
  13. I live in Fleming Island area. We are pretty close to one another. Did you get your CPR yet?
  14. There are several shots to get like the flu (reg. and H1N1). However, we should have plenty of time to get them done since classes do not start until May 10th. I know we will need plain white sneakers and flat front khaki pants (this is all info from my friend that started in Jan). Her classes are Tues, Wed, and Thur from 9-3:30, Monday 9-12 and off on Fridays.
  15. Yes, she said lots, and lots of info! She also said that our books will be available and will cost about $800!!! The email that we get will tell us what we need to know. Where are you coming from?
