U.S.A. Florida

I know it is kind of early to start this thread but I thought maybe there were some others out there who are planning on applying for fccj/fscj fall 2010 RN program. Hope you will post on this thread!

Yep... your buddy is right. It really isn't that bad in content but the time constraint got to me the first time I took it. The second time I was prepared and knew what to do.

Just be sure to scan through on the first part and answer the easy parts first... THEN go back and try the harder ones.

any advice on the reading section?

20 minutes to read 4 passages and answer 40 questions doesnt seem like enough time.

Im thinking about just reading the questions and see if I can skim for the answers.

nevermind

I just took the NAT and I did good.

I did pretty much skim the passages to answer the questions since the question were pretty specific and the answers are in the article.

Only 3 passages.

As for the academic aptitude, its 30 minutes to answer 90 questions which was very low amount and 30 minutes to answer the 90 science questions which arent very time consuming.

The spelling was very difficult for me and good thing they dont look at that section, right?

Congrats on doing good! If I wanna take the NAT do I just call thew school and make an appt.? How many points did u get from the NAT? Congrats again and great job:)

I made an appointment in person at the office you take the test in and I think you can only make appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I got a 72(98%) on academic aptitude. (Out of 90 questions, 30 minutes)

a 30(95%) on Reading comprehension. (Out of 40 questions, 20 minutes)

a 73(94%) on natural science. (Out of 90 questions, 30 minutes)

175/.64= 112pts

I think I calculated that right.

Glad the spelling section didnt count against us because it was hard.

Great job! So what does that make your overall score?

With my 103 from grades, I'd have a total of 215pts

Also, I meant 175 x .64

not divide, lol

Great Job!!!

They will use your humanities with the highest grade! Another thing if chem did count you wouldnt get that many points for it since it was highschool and it would only be worth 1 credit! Good luck to you guys!

Okay, I dunno if you will know the answer but I have another question about this lol. I just found out that a history class that I took counts as a Humanities, and I made an A in that! But I took the two Humanities after that and made Cs. One advisor told me the C will be counted because I took that class more recently but another advisor said they will use the A since it is the higher grade. Do you know which is true? Sorry so many questions... it seems that no two advisors say the same thing about nursing program requirements. I have just been talking to the regular advisors at Kent though, should I call someone in the nursing department at North Campus or will they be inconsistent as well? Any input or advice from anyone is much appreciated!!!

They will take the highest grade as long as it's one of the humanities listed on the application!
