What I meant to say is "being that you are an LPN"

I'm in a different section (which means a different schedule with different teachers) than the person who responded but with my schedule, it runs right on time. My monday testing is the same as the previous posters (mon 3-5:30) but tues is my longer day 9-4 wed 9-12 thurs 9-1:30 and I'm off on Friday. If you are an LPN you need to look into the LPN-RN bridge program. It is a shorter program that, from my understanding, skips over the stuff that you should already know being that you are an RN. I think it is more work schedule friendly as well... but I don't know for sure.

Thanks for the info. I guess I should make myself some more flash cards.

Do we need to know the abbreviations?

Thanks for letting me know. Thankfully, I took a&p I only a little over a year ago so most of that stuff is still fresh.

But the flash cards do not include everything in the book. Like the different planes and abdominopelvic regions and the abbreviations. Are those things on the test?

Simply for the nursing program, I don't think it matters... However, I believe it has to have a lab which would be the "c" part. If you think you may want to go on to get your bachelors, you will need to have the 1032c for another University to accept it. If you want my advice, take Rebecca Hailey. She is at Kent campus and she is fantastic. I am by no means good at math or science (chemistry combines them both) however, I got an A in the class simply because she was so good at what she does. I thought I wasn't good at chemistry until she taught it... now, I love it!

I got my BP cuff embroidered with my name too. I guess I just figured it would be easier than having to find and buy a white or silver marker to write my name or to rig a tag to it. I bought the name tag for my stethoscope. I spoke to the lady at Florida specialty and she said they delivered the polos to North campus last week. I guess we could just get them when we go in to class. Does anyone know how the questions will be worded for the med term test. Do they give us a suffix and then ask us to write in the meaning, or is it complete words we have to tear apart into meanings. Is it multiple choice, matching? Do they give us definitions and we fill in the word? Just curious...

We already have the penlight in our skills kit. Meridy's has 5 and a half inch bandage scissors and 5 1/2 inch hemostats. They call the hemostats "Kelly Forceps" bandage scissors and hemostats are different.

Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 are to attend Monday, May 10th from 9-10am Sections 5,6,7, and 8 are to attend Monday, May 10th from 10-11am Then it says if you are in sections 1 and 2 you must attend the degree audit scheduled for Monday, May 10th from 11am-noon.

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been absent so long. I'm still finishing up my last 5 classes and I've been crazy busy. Does anyone know anything about this "Mandatory Degree Audit Session"? It seems stupid to say "If you are in sections 1,2,3,and 4 you must attend 9-10am" but then on the same paper say sections 1 and 2 attend 11-12. What is this for?

Yeah. You have to call the North campus' nursing department (766-6500) then press 3 then 1 and you will get Angie's voicemail... leave a message and she will call you back. HTH...

    FCCJ/FSCJ Fall 2010 Hopefuls

If you check through this thread or the FSCJ Summer 2010 thread, I think someone posted their schedule from the Fall 2010. I'll try to find it...

    FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

I agree with your post however I do know some people who didn't make it into the Spring term so they were going to do some things (take another humanities, take the NAT again...) to get their scores higher. So just because they applied for the Spring term with under 193 doesn't neccessarily mean they will be re-applying with those same points. I would think they would be foolish to do so... (no offense to anyone) if it didn't get you in when they were accepting 144 I would think it wouldn't get you in when they are only accepting 90-something. Do you know what I mean? Also, there were a few who made it in but couldn't get into the night/weekend option so they may be re-applying as well. HOWEVER, from what I've read on here there were people who didn't make it into the FSCJ Spring term and were going to be applying elsewhere. So, I guess it is up in the air. Also, like someone else said, I don't think the cutoff (for any term including summer which has always taken a smaller number of students) has ever been over 200, so that is encouraging. I think 200+ is a safe bet as well... (but I still am nervous) I did get a phone call from Angie yesterday saying they did get my application so I relieved about that.

    FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

Thanks to everyone for the positive words. I just want to prepare myself because I know I have high points but if I don't get in for some reason I don't want to be too disappointed but if I do... I want to be really excited! I will definitely be planning on a celebration if I do... Phread01, I don't know if anyone would be able to answer that question for you. The "sorry you didn't make it" letters (at least, from what I've read on here and when speaking to people) do not give the cutoff for N/W. Just the cutoff for the program itself... I think. I heard that in the Spring term there were people who made it but weren't able to get N/W so they had to drop out. Has anyone had any experience like this? Do they tell you if you get N/W on the acceptance letter? How does this work?
