  1. What I meant to say is "being that you are an LPN"
  2. I'm in a different section (which means a different schedule with different teachers) than the person who responded but with my schedule, it runs right on time. My monday testing is the same as the previous posters (mon 3-5:30) but tues is my longer day 9-4 wed 9-12 thurs 9-1:30 and I'm off on Friday. If you are an LPN you need to look into the LPN-RN bridge program. It is a shorter program that, from my understanding, skips over the stuff that you should already know being that you are an RN. I think it is more work schedule friendly as well... but I don't know for sure.
  3. Thanks for the info. I guess I should make myself some more flash cards.
  4. Do we need to know the abbreviations?
  5. Thanks for letting me know. Thankfully, I took a&p I only a little over a year ago so most of that stuff is still fresh.
  6. But the flash cards do not include everything in the book. Like the different planes and abdominopelvic regions and the abbreviations. Are those things on the test?
  7. Simply for the nursing program, I don't think it matters... However, I believe it has to have a lab which would be the "c" part. If you think you may want to go on to get your bachelors, you will need to have the 1032c for another University to accept it. If you want my advice, take Rebecca Hailey. She is at Kent campus and she is fantastic. I am by no means good at math or science (chemistry combines them both) however, I got an A in the class simply because she was so good at what she does. I thought I wasn't good at chemistry until she taught it... now, I love it!
  8. I got my BP cuff embroidered with my name too. I guess I just figured it would be easier than having to find and buy a white or silver marker to write my name or to rig a tag to it. I bought the name tag for my stethoscope. I spoke to the lady at Florida specialty and she said they delivered the polos to North campus last week. I guess we could just get them when we go in to class. Does anyone know how the questions will be worded for the med term test. Do they give us a suffix and then ask us to write in the meaning, or is it complete words we have to tear apart into meanings. Is it multiple choice, matching? Do they give us definitions and we fill in the word? Just curious...
  9. We already have the penlight in our skills kit. Meridy's has 5 and a half inch bandage scissors and 5 1/2 inch hemostats. They call the hemostats "Kelly Forceps" bandage scissors and hemostats are different.
  10. Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 are to attend Monday, May 10th from 9-10am Sections 5,6,7, and 8 are to attend Monday, May 10th from 10-11am Then it says if you are in sections 1 and 2 you must attend the degree audit scheduled for Monday, May 10th from 11am-noon.
  11. Hey everyone! Sorry I've been absent so long. I'm still finishing up my last 5 classes and I've been crazy busy. Does anyone know anything about this "Mandatory Degree Audit Session"? It seems stupid to say "If you are in sections 1,2,3,and 4 you must attend 9-10am" but then on the same paper say sections 1 and 2 attend 11-12. What is this for?
  12. Yea for you JenPerez!!! I'm in section 4 but I'm sure we may see eachother in passing at some point. The boxes of books aren't in yet. They will be coming in over spring break. I'll have to get my list to let you know what all is in them. The box is expensive, but I've heard many people saying that it is a far better way to go than trying to buy them each individually. The lady from the book company said at orientation that the total cost of the books are at a 50% discounted rate.
  13. There seemed to be SO many people in your boat. They seemed to act as though it shouldn't matter which campus the n/w would be held but to so many people deciding between programs (and at different schools) this is a pretty big deal! Fortunately for me I wanted days... but I did contemplate n/w because of Deerwood... so glad I opted for days or I would be fuming!! I'm so sorry that happened to you.
  14. Yep. That's the total tuition for all 4 classes. I think I'm just going to wait to turn in my titers (results) until the boxes of books come in. If I have to run my sorry butt all the way up to North campus 4 days a week for 16 weeks, I'm going to kill two birds with one stone now.
  15. Just registered for my classes.... a whopping $1212 later...
