Hey everybody! I just wanted to start a separate thread regarding our acceptance into the FSCJ (a.k.a. FCCJ) Summer 2010 "RN" program. I know we've all been posting to the "hopefuls" page but now that we aren't "hopefuls" anymore, and we're more like...

I'm in a different section (which means a different schedule with different teachers) than the person who responded but with my schedule, it runs right on time. My monday testing is the same as the previous posters (mon 3-5:30) but tues is my longer...

But the flash cards do not include everything in the book. Like the different planes and abdominopelvic regions and the abbreviations. Are those things on the test?

Simply for the nursing program, I don't think it matters... However, I believe it has to have a lab which would be the "c" part. If you think you may want to go on to get your bachelors, you will need to have the 1032c for another University to acc...

I got my BP cuff embroidered with my name too. I guess I just figured it would be easier than having to find and buy a white or silver marker to write my name or to rig a tag to it. I bought the name tag for my stethoscope. I spoke to the lady at F...

We already have the penlight in our skills kit. Meridy's has 5 and a half inch bandage scissors and 5 1/2 inch hemostats. They call the hemostats "Kelly Forceps" bandage scissors and hemostats are different.

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been absent so long. I'm still finishing up my last 5 classes and I've been crazy busy. Does anyone know anything about this "Mandatory Degree Audit Session"? It seems stupid to say "If you are in sections 1,2,3,and 4 you ...

There seemed to be SO many people in your boat. They seemed to act as though it shouldn't matter which campus the n/w would be held but to so many people deciding between programs (and at different schools) this is a pretty big deal! Fortunately fo...

Yep. That's the total tuition for all 4 classes. I think I'm just going to wait to turn in my titers (results) until the boxes of books come in. If I have to run my sorry butt all the way up to North campus 4 days a week for 16 weeks, I'm going to ...

We talked a little bit about that when we met up last weekend but then I had a thought... I thought we had to get them from Meridy's because they had the patch already on there. (the fscj patch). I know you can buy extra patches but I really don't ...
Wouldn't they technically want to wait until after orientation. If orientation is mandatory and you don't show up, maybe you lose your spot. Then they will be able to contact the next person down on the list for the "no shows". Does that make sens...

I think it went really well! ButterflyMom was right, she had ALOT of great info for us. When I looked at the books she brought, I got really nervous. They look like they're written in Latin...I guess some parts are! Quick question, if my PPD came...

I'll be there. See you guys at 2 at Panera Bread at the St. John's Town Center. I'll try to get there a little early and make a sign for our table that will say "allnurses" so we will know how to find eachother.

Sunday at 2pm at the Town Center sounds perfect! But how 'bout we meet at Panera Bread instead of Starbucks. It has alot more space in case its crowded and parking is alot easier.
