Anyone else planning on applying to FCCJ's nursing program for Fall '09? I figured we might as well start a "support group" thread of sorts for those of us who are. Never too early to start, right?
The pants, which I recommend you do, you can get from anywhere. Popular ones in my class were ones with slits at the bottom and some of the girls had flare style ones. I don't know if you will all have to buy new uniform tops or not because they have changed the name of the school as well as the patch.
Don't get too upset yet ladies. They may mail them out out by last name, points, county, zip code etc. My BFF's sister got her acceptance packet Saturday and she lives in Orange Park/Youngermans Cir. She applied with 196 points. Either way, they have to send an acceptance or denial letter regardless. I live in south Mandarin and haven't recieved either correspondence. The rest of us should hear something by Tuesday at the latest I'm sure. Keep your heads up, I'm sure we'll get our answers soon :)
I live near julington creek area. i just really want to find out because tuesday im going out of the country for a week and i guess if i dont get anything tomorrow i will be getting a calling card to call everyday about the mail lol. i would enjoy my trip alot more if i got a letter tomorrow :) guess we can only hope (and pray) for that letter!!

You won't have clinicals until the 8th week. You don't need uniforms before then. The "deadline"s were established by meridy's so that you wouldn't complain about the wait from the date you ordered your uniforms online and the date you actually get it.
The Student Nurses Assn will have boxes of free uniforms passed down from the most recent graduating class, so if you are tight on money, don't buy your uniforms until you see if you can get a free one or not.
