As nurses, we spend endless hours caring for others, sometimes at the expense of our own mental and physical well-being. What is your favorite getaway spot/vacation destination? Mine is Tybee Island, Georgia, because of the beautiful, quiet beaches, and its proximity to lovely Savannah. I also love Gulf Shores, Alabama (spent my honeymoon there!)Where is your favorite place to escape?
Another great place that I like to vacation is San Diego, California, although it usually means less relaxing and a lot more sightseeing! I love Sea World and the San Diego Zoo! What I am dreaming of right now is a quiet, more secluded spot to escape to.:)

My very own home! It is the most relaxing place for me. I'm a recovering agoraphobic so traveling does not appeal to me. We've made our home into a nice, comfy little oasis.
A childhood friend is going to Mackinac Island, Michigan, in June for the lilac festival. I have only been there once, but it's a charming, very quaint and pretty place!

I second Tybee Island and want to add Isle of Palms South Carolina just outside Charleston.
My coworker is in California this week and shared her photos from Big Sur and Carmel By the Sea...breathtaking! I want to go!

St Martin. I like to park myself on the beach. I think the beach on Pinel Island is my favorite. Good food, good drink, soft sand, turquoise water. Ahhhhhh.

Aruba...beautiful beaches, nightlife, (if you want it) snorkeling, lots of water activities. My favorite is watching the planes come in from all over the world from the beach at night.
