Fall 2011 Western University of Health Sciences MSN-E

Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?

Current students--What were your stats like?

Any information would be helpful =)

Thanks in advance!

Well, that's a total bummer; I'm scheduled for Friday the 18th!

Friday is the last day for interviews, good luck to everyone!

Good luck to you all who are interviewing Friday. =D

So I have heard that if you receive a large envelope in the mail from schools that's a good thing and if you receive just a regular letter size envelope from them that's either a denial letter or an alternate letter. Does anyone know how true this is?

I think a large envelope sounds like a very good thing :yelclap:

I am currently a student at Western and completed the pre-licensure portion and now in my first semester of the distance portion for FNP.

I received my acceptance by email. Check your spam because mine was in there. Also my acceptance letter arrived in the mail in a small envelope. Hope this helps some :) Hopefully they haven't changed anything.

Hi All! I thought I would add my two cents... I just interviewed this morning and was told we would here within the next two weeks. There were only 8 of us interviewing in the early session and we were told 10 would be in the final session. Good luck!

thanks for the update !!!!

Sorry about the error... "hear" not "here". Good luck everyone! Hopefully we'll know by the end of the week.

I applied last year and received email notification about two weeks after my interview date. I remember the toughest thing about Western was that they wanted the $500 deposit before other schools released their admission decisions. Since I only applied to one other school, I ended up paying the $500 to secure my spot. I declined Western when I was accepted to the second school, and I think many people were in the same position.

Good luck to everyone who applied! Hang in there!

I just got accepted yesterday to an EL-MSN program at another school!!!! The program I applied to does not have a deposit fee which is very nice. The program I was accepted to begins this May, so it is coming up very fast. Still waiting for Western though. I hope to hear from them soon!

thanks SRL656, i wish notifications were just as fast this year but this is the first year they are using nursing CAS so there is more of a delay and will not be accpeting this time until they interview everyone first. (except for erly admits)
