Hey everybody! I just wanted to start a thread where all of us who are beginning the stressful process of worrying over Lonestar admissions can give each other some support! I'm planning on applying to LSC-Montgomery - retaking Psych 2301 in a Second 8 Weeks class to get an*A,* and getting ready to take the HESI in November when Moco's testing opens. I'm freaking out over how much is on the line...must make an *A!* Must blow HESI out of the water!!!!!
Anyway, just wanted to say good luck to everyone as their finishing up their prereqs and preparing for the HESI and ask...
LoneStar hopefuls...WHERE YOU AT?!! :heartbeat
I got into NH. I wasn't worried, as my score was 11.87. I'm not going to accept since my fiance got laid off and I need to keep working (instead of quitting like I'd been planning). So, at least one alternate from NH will be in!
I'm so sorry to hear that. One worry I have is that something will happen with my husband's job and I won't be able to finish. I noticed Kingwood has an evening program with clinicals on Saturday. I believe it starts in the spring. You would have to be super motivated to work and go to school, but I know there's people that do it.
Wannabetxnurse, I hate to see you give your spot up now when so much can change between now and the end of summer. Why don't wait until you need to make a payment to reject your offer? Hopefully then your fiance will be able to get another job by then. You could also try to work extra hours during your summer off to work more hours and save some money. I wish you well in whatever decision you make.
Hi,
I got accepted into Cy-fairs nursing program. My Mother-in-law wants to purchase me a stethoscope for my Birthday next week. She asked me which one I would like. I emailed the nursing department about which ones I could use and they said this will be talked about during orientation. The problem is, she wants to order is ASAP. Is there any current cy-fair students who can tell me which ones I can buy? I am looking at the 3M Littmann Master Cardiology Stethoscope. I was thinking of getting it in blue. Will this stethoscope be okay and do they allow it to be colored? Thanks to anyone who can help!

No offense Veganmom, but you have no idea what my financial situation is like right now. I'd love to work OT but that is banned at work right now. I'd love to see him get a job but only one company in the area is hiring and they aren't interested. Historically it has taken him at least 6 months to get a new job.
