Fall 2010 Lonestar ADN Hopefuls

Published

Hey everybody! I just wanted to start a thread where all of us who are beginning the stressful process of worrying over Lonestar admissions can give each other some support!:yeah: I'm planning on applying to LSC-Montgomery - retaking Psych 2301 in a Second 8 Weeks class to get an*A,* and getting ready to take the HESI in November when Moco's testing opens. I'm freaking out over how much is on the line...must make an *A!* Must blow HESI out of the water!!!!!

Anyway, just wanted to say good luck to everyone as their finishing up their prereqs and preparing for the HESI and ask...

LoneStar hopefuls...WHERE YOU AT?!! :heartbeat

Congrats to everyone else too!!! And thanks for mine. :) Feels great, huh?

I was thinking about starting a facebook group for Cyfair, too, because it can be kept up throughout school. But then I thought that it might be a good idea to start a new thread on here, so that lurkers looking for info can find it. I know I've been all over the fall '09 thread and it helped a ton! Any thoughts?

I'm about to head out for my kiddos birthday, but I'll be back later (probably much later) and try to get something going tonight.

Congratulations again, y'all!! And because I said I would...

:dancgrp:

And you better believe I did.

I've been lurking on here for a while and got helpful info for sure!

And now I can post that yes I got in at Cyfair!

:lol2: So happy! Congrats to everybody!

yeah, i feel you on how much this site has kept me sane and somewhat up to date on my/our quest to nursing school. I have read so many threads and topics about nursing form here for a long long time (every since decided to become a nurse; which was in late 2007). It would be cool and always good karma to help others in need and as far as getting into the nursing program wise, but i really don't know how much more this site can do. So much has been said about how to get in. The only difference is what the cut-off is, and the minor detail that are changed in the program as time passes (they are usually posted on the school site).

It would be cool to keep in touch and have like a study group or something as we go though nursing school. I have a a few friends that are RN's and they will be the 'go-to' person concerning clinicals. As for the schooling, i really don't know as i don't know what to expect yet. I think i won't join anything new (forum/ support group for nursing school, FB, or anything else until the orientation. But, who knows..lol.. )

congrats to all that made it and good luck to all that are still waiting.

I checked my mail and there was nothing at all.:crying2: Does anyone know if they mail the rejection letters later than the acceptance letters?

Just got my acceptance letter for NH! So, I will be going there, unless a slot opens up at Montgomery...

I am so excited! All of my hard work has finally paid off!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!

I would think that they mail them all out at the same time. I received my "alternate" letter from Montgomery yesterday and my "acceptance" letter from NH today. If you are really worried, you may want to call your first choice nursing dept. and make sure they have your correct address. Do you live far away from campus?

My score was 11.526. I am # 3 on the alternate list at Montgomery and got accepted to NH. Hope that helps...
