EpiPens4Schools

I ordered my stock epi in August when I usually do, and EpiPens4Schools has said they're still out of stock and cannot send me my 2 Epi-Pen Jrs & 2 Epi-Pens. I think I have it in my budget to pay for the epi at a pharmacy, but is that possible? Can I walk in and get this from a pharmacy or order online? I have a written prescription from a doctor that I uploaded to EpiPens4Schools. I'm at a private school, and it's just little ol' me here figuring it out on my own, so I'm stuck.

I would call a local pharmacy and ask exactly that. Your state may have laws that have standing orders from the DOH that you do not need a prescription per say. That's how Maryland rolls.

If the RX is for the school and you are a school representative I don't see how there would be a problem from the pharmacy...but I bet it would cost you considerably more.

I'd be fine with epi ampules.

Right?? Why do so many school seem to think this is not a viable option? Better than NOT having any epi!

i was a lucky duck i guess... they told me that due to the back order they couldn't send them, but then i got my order a few days later. That's the yay. The boo is tha the pens that they sent me were set to expire during the school year. I called them and was sent FDA expiration extension paperwork. OK - i guess it's something. But - then i needed to use one, filled out their replacement - guess that's why i'm still waiting.

I only have a prescription for epinephrine auto-injectors. I'll see what the price on the generic would be then maybe try to get a hold of the doctor to see if he'll write out a script for ampules. Thanks for all the help.

Yep, same boat here!! I ordered mine August 20th. Still no Epi!

I ordered my Epi through EpiPens4Schools on 9/2. I recieved my 0.3mg auto injectors, but not the Jr's. I called and was told they are still on back order. Thankfully all my students with allergies have provided theirs this year.

Did you all see that some of the Epipens have had their expiration dates extended? You might take a look if you haven't received yours.

Can you try Auvi-Q? It would perhaps need a different rx but the manufacturers were most generous with us.

From what I've seen they only offer free Auvi-Q to public schools, but I'll send them an email and try.
