Emory Fall 2015 Applicants

So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..

The personal statement may be hard to cut down but keep in mind it says you only have to answer 1-2 of the questions!

anyone who went to the open house, what are the primary reasons that students choose only to complete the ABSN portion?

some schools do not look at TEAS score even if you entered it in.

I mean for the ABSN wouldn't it be to just be to finish faster than 2 years? Because normally you take 2 years to be an RN and the Emory BSN second degree takes 2 years too. Maybe you want to work and get experience first and also decide if you want to get your master's in less time? And it would maybe be less money too than the 2 year program - not sure about this though.

Emory will look at the TEAS score if you wish to include it to strengthen your application.

Does anyone know when Emory starts to send out invitations for interviews? I know the application isn't due yet but I'm trying to keep everything in perspective. Good luck to everyone!

This is what it says on the website "Interviews are not required for admission to the BSN program. However, the Admission Committee may request an interview if special circumstances exist."

Are there interviews for ABSN/MSN? I didn't see info about it anywhere.

I don't know. The FAQ was only broken up by either BSN or MSN.
