  1. ya I heard the same but seriously why go somewhere else when you can attend a world class school
  2. Im thinking about it, I just have to take the teas, Ive taken it once so I don't see it being a problem. But as of right now Emory is my one and only. I have the grades to get in .. its just going to come down to the admissions stuff like the essay and resume.. Didn't she say not matter how early we turned it in we wouldn't hear anything January?
  3. There going ok, I just started chem as well, I have my A&P this semester and my last math. Im just ready to get it over with.. My main focus has been on this application im still trying to tackle the purpose statement and resume, Ive went through several drafts but nothing firm yet... did you get everything situated to turn in your app
  4. Hey guys, First congrads to the newest nursing students to Emory, I am currently a fall 2015 hopeful so im sitting in the same position that many of you were in a year or more ago. I have been working on my BSN traditional application for sometime not but I have hit a road block on constructing the statement of purpose and the resume. Normally I am good at writing and I have went through several drafts of the paper but it either turns out to long or to short or it becomes a tangent. From what I have heard a lot of weight is placed on both of these papers. My question is can any of you give me some advice on how you constructed your papers or any general advice on the purpose statement or resume in general?
  5. I think she said you could, but honestly I don't know. I checked the website and all the information about the accelerated program is bundled with the MSN portion.
  6. I was the guy in the black polo shirt that was sitting in the back.. I guess you could say mines ready to go as well, all I'm really waiting on is the letter of recommendation from my physical science class which I have yet to take .. Ill probably end up turning it in sometime next month... I mean we have 4 1/2 months to go so fingers crossed.. What specialty are you going for?
  7. I attended the information session on the 12th as well and I'm planning on attending the open house October 18th. Sexynurse 79 I'm a second career BSN traditional student and no I have no finished all of my requirements, I have knocked out a good bit of them, but I will be finishing them between now and next spring. I wish they had an option for the traditional to go ahead for their MSN but o well.. Have you started on your application yet. Ive been working on mine for a couple of weeks trying to get the letters of recommendation and the statement of purpose going.... I guess were the only students for the fall 15 class so far lol
  8. So the application for the Fall 2015 BSN traditional/ ABSN/MSN has just opened up. I thought it may be nice to start a thread so any of the applicants can check on each others processes and get to know one another..
  9. Blueline, I know how you felt, Im in the same boat the only difference is that I am married and have a kid. I have walked the blue line in a major city for 4 years and need a change.
