Emory ABSN Fall 2016

Hi!

Today was the priority deadline for Emory's ABSN program, and I've already heard back from them that I've been waitlisted. I submitted my application and all the materials early, but I was surprised they made a decision so early! Anyone else in the same boat?

I suppose it's better than a rejection, but so early in the process I'm a little confused about what it means to be on the waitlist.

Have you heard anything yet? I applied by the 12/15 deadline as well and have yet to hear back. I called this morning and they said that I would hear back latest by the middle of February!

I have not heard anything back yet, and haven't been asked for any letters of recommendation or anything.

Glad to know that the latest we'll hear is mid-February.

The interview went alright. There were two video interview parts, each about a 2 minute answer (after a minute of prep time). The surprise was there was a written part, too. No prep time, 5 minutes or so to write a response. That part was challenging. Good luck!!

@bizcocho did you apply to the ABSN and MSN? Or just the ABSN? I never knew there was an interview portion :o

I didn't either! I was wait listed in October, and they requested the online interview portion about a week ago as part of their decision. I'm applying for the (non-MSN) ABSN program.

Also question to everyone, do any of you know whether the ABSN students have an option doing the MSN portion even if we didn't apply to the ABSN + MSN cohort?

I got an interview request as well! Super nervous about it, especially since Emory is my top choice.

Does anyone know if Emory awards many scholarships or other kinds of financial aid? I know there are a few big awards (for which the application deadline has already passed) but are there others that aren't as publicized? I'm excited to have been accepted, but Emory is super expensive, so I have a lot to think about...

are you sure? I called as well and they said we can hear as latest as up to when classes start..
