Emory ABSN Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi!

Today was the priority deadline for Emory's ABSN program, and I've already heard back from them that I've been waitlisted. I submitted my application and all the materials early, but I was surprised they made a decision so early! Anyone else in the same boat?

I suppose it's better than a rejection, but so early in the process I'm a little confused about what it means to be on the waitlist.

Any of the other waitlisters on here? I feel like it's super late in the game to not even get a denial

anyone on here know if Emory is still accepting applications for the Fall ABSN? Website says yes, but I doubt it is accurate.

I'm still on the wait list right now! currently crossing my fingers I get an email before August 25th for an acceptance!!

Same here. I haven't heard anything from them since they updated my application back in October to let me know I was on the waitlist. Have you gotten any updates to your application recently?

Based on experience with the ABSN/MSN program wait list, you might not hear anything until school has actually started.

has anyone heard anything from the waitlist yet???

has anyone heard anything on the wait list?!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say that last year I got accepted into Emory nursing off of their waiting list and they do accept people up until the last minute! I called pretty much every day until I got in- not sure if that helped or not but I definitely was persistent with calls and emails to the admission office. Keep trying and let them know if it's your first choice!

thank you so much for this! I'm literally over here dying to get into the program! I have sent them letter of recommendations and a personal letter myself. What did you exactly ask them when you called and when you emailed them? Thanks so much!!

Mostly I just asked questions about when they were pulling from the wait list and what that process was like. I also made sure to find an email address of a specific admission officer (as opposed to just a generic email address for admissions) and put in writing that Emory was my first choice and if I was given a spot I undoubtedly would accept the offer. Not too long after I wrote that email I found out I got in, and I know of a few people in my cohort who got in even later from the wait list, but I'm not sure if/how they chose to contact the school. If you're close enough I'd also recommend an in-person visit to the school- it helped one of my friends get in! I know it's really nerve wracking but let me know about any questions and I wish you all best of luck!

thank you so much for everything!! you really helped me get my hopes up again! this helped me a ton! Is there anyway you could give me that email address to that admissions officer? I can't seem to find any specific officer online.
