Emory ABSN Fall 2016

Hi!

Today was the priority deadline for Emory's ABSN program, and I've already heard back from them that I've been waitlisted. I submitted my application and all the materials early, but I was surprised they made a decision so early! Anyone else in the same boat?

I suppose it's better than a rejection, but so early in the process I'm a little confused about what it means to be on the waitlist.

Hi all! I was just accepted as well, and was wondering the same thing @vitaga12! Its hard to accept when it's the first school I have heard from!

Were you guys waitlisted previously? How did you find out you were accepted? Congratulations!

@Sav768, I just called and they said we have until May 1st to accept with the tuition deposit (but that seems late to me). This is plenty of time I suppose, since other schools don't release decisions until March

I had no decision prior to today;I wasn't waitlisted. I just woke up to an email that said there was an update on my account and to log in to view it, and it took me to the letter of decision which was beyond nerve wracking since I was expecting denial.

Same situation for me! Thanks so much for looking into that vitaga12! It's a relief since I know some programs only give a few weeks to decide! Has anyone accepted their offer yet?

I believe this is just the ABSN thread (or at least, that's what I applied for), I think there's a separate ABSN/MSN thread going though!

It's actually March 1st! I thought May seemed late so I called again and they said that it is actually March, not May. Sorry about the confusion!

for anyone who was waitlisted from the first deadline, do you know when we will hear back regarding any decisions?

I figured that we won't hear anything back unless we are taken off the wait list. On other schools' forums I've read about people being admitted from the wait list as late as the day before school starts! Hopefully this is rare.

Basically I think as long as people are deciding, we may hear back.

I called, and was told we will hear by Dec 15th about the waitlist.
