It varies. Just subscribe to their monthly visa bulletin so that youll get the latest one. You may also check the site.

Good morning America. I'm going to make a bold prediction here for May EB3 bulletin. My wild guess is that the priority date for applicants from UK, Canada, Australia, & Philippines will become current in the coming few days. U.S. needs the best and the brightest legal immigrants in order to foster growth & innovation. For example, Mike Krieger founded Instagram after graduating from Stanford University. He is from Brazil and entered the U.S. on F-1 student visa. Jan Koum, a Jewish immigrant from Ukraine, migrated to the U.S. at age 16 and founded Whatspp. He sold Whatspp to Facebook last year for $16 Billion ( Read : Billion ). Both immigrants created jobs and contributed taxes to local & federal agencies. Do you know how a tiny island of Singapore with land area of only 270 square miles similar to the city of Chicago became a world-class financial powerhouse ? Singapore has no natural resources but it became a rich & powerful country by emulating what the U.S. did for the last centuries. Singapore ranked 3rd as the wealthiest nation in the world ( U.S. ranked 9th ) and 17 percent of its resident households are ( US$ ) millionaires ( 17 percent is not a typo ) by investing in human resources and encourages foreign skilled and talented professionals to work in their country. We must differentiate skilled versus non-skilled immigrants, just my 2 cents. Peace & love .................................

Its thru an agency, they filed it last march 31, and just got the notice of receipt this week with april 1 2015 as my priority date.

You guys? Any news?

That was quick, so having a priority date of april 1st , what does that mean :) i imagine good news but the visa process is still new to me :) ps sent you back a pm

having a priority date (PD) means your petitioner filed for your petition. Then you have to wait for your PD to be current before you can process everything.

This month, visa bulletin is october 2015, so next month, i hope it moves up until april 2015--or better CURRENT. =)

PD is the date your EB3 application (or other GC application) joins the queue and approved by immigration. Once PD comes up you will then be asked to complete paperwork for yourself and spouse/kids (if included) and things move forward and you wait for a interview at the embassy of choice.
