HI, I WOULD LIKE TO START A THREAD REGARDING THE EB3 PRIORITY DATES(PD) MOVEMENT.
If february's PD is up to JAN 2014, prediction for next month might be a 7 month jump again to AUGUST 2014.
Then by APRIL, it can be CURRENT.
what are your thoughts on this? maybe we can update or give advice for those who want to pursue their AMERICAN DREAM.
Nursepao, hows your application with your agency?
Suzy12,
have you signed your contract with them? It took me 2-3weeks before i got the contract. I kept on emailing them. So at what stage of the application are you now, by now i believe you have signed the contract?
I got offered a contract like you said , it took 2 weeks, but not sure if am taking it as I got another interview lined up, they couldn't promise me where I wanted to go and said anywhere in America except Alaska so not sure? I got a few options available :)

Yeah location is what they can't promise. because it depends on their clients plus the area where they have a vacancy.
oh well, they were the first agency to contact me last september.
I guess the situation is really looking good for nurses who wants to go to US since a lot of agencies have appeared left and right. a lot are now offering sponsorship for nurses to take NCLEX and IELTS.
Lets stay positive about this. =)
Im still waiting for the PD. I was only informed yesterday that it was sent to their immigration attorney for filing. So hopefully by next week i can get my PD.
goodluck to us!
A good read:
Hi guys, wondering what agencies do you guys have. Are they all the same where they let you go through the immigration process but can't guarantee where the nurse is going?
Base on my observation, most of the company that sponsor foreign nurses nowadays are staffing company. They provide nurses to their client hospitals. I guess hospital placement depends on the need of their client hospitals and nurse qualifications. I heard from other nurses who were hired by staffing that the only time they knew their placement was just right before their deployment. However, there are few hospitals that hire nurses directly.
Complain? It really doesn't matter to me either way. What I do find interesting is that it seems that USA has an ample supply of Nurses to supply the workforce in USA.
Heck I might even look into opening a company that supplies RN to USA in a few years when I move abroad.
But if you read here on this forum and read the state and general boards it seems like we have plenty of qualified nurses to fill any position.
I suspect these hospitals or companies that are bringing nurses into USA especially from 3rd World countries like Philippines where nurse make $10 per day. The hospital want to staff with underpaid employees for profit.
Or the hospitals are too lazy or Human Resource doesn't want to interview employees, and they lie and say they can't find worker and then use the EB3 visa. One of the main requirements is you can't find workers in the USA.
If you know the immigration process in USA, there are way too many legal loopholes to lie and get into the USA. Or you can enter the USA illegally and wait for the President to a executive action to let you become legal. 4 million Illegal aliens got there US Citizenship a few years ago...
Hi sir, I resent your sentiments. I was offered by an agency based there in TX a rate of $24-38/hr. $10/day is like our salary here in the Philippines. I really dont think thats the truth. Additionally, if youre claiming that the HR is really lazy to interview qualified citizens or permanent residents, then why do employers need to obtain a DOL certificate stating that no qualified americans/immigrants can fill the position? Filing an EB3 petition would actually cost then more rather than looking for someone whos already in there.
