How many class mates of yours have dropped out so far? We started with 120 in May , we are now down to 93 to date.

We started out with 40, dropped to 25 after the first semester. We are down to 15 who actually started out at the beginning with me. We did pick up 11 LPN's in our advanced placement program, but two of them have failed classes already.

Specializes in Oncology.

Last semester we had 43. We now are down to about 27!! :o

First semester here. We've had one fail clinicals, and I think a few may fail pharm and not return next semester unless they pass over the summer somewhere.

Our Class started out with 89 members in August of 2005. We were down to 68 at the end of the first semester at the end of December. It is now May and we have finished our second semester and lost at least 12 more and had at least 5 drop to part time. See we are either a 2 year or 3 year program. Unforunately I missed making the cut by 1 question in Micro Lab. Passed everything else with flying colors..SUCKS! But I am not giving up because the nursing school refered me to the hospital and I will be working full time as a unit clerk/nursing assistant until I can return in January of 2007. It's a set back but I want this bad so I'll do what I have to. Also with the new job and if I do 20 hours a week after I start back the hospital will sponsor me and NO TUTITION. I watched our senior class drop 5 just 6 weeks prior to graduation because they missed passing critical care by a couple of questions. EVERYONE NEEDS TO KEEP THE FAITH. IF YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time as gone by so fast since I started this thread last November. We are getting ready to graduate and our class is presently at 73 (from 120 last yr) but I know some classmates are currently failing. It will be interesting to find out what our final graduating class number is. I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks!

I only know about my particular class, not the others in my school. We started this first semester with 34 and only lost one to personal matters (surgery complications plus childcare issues). There were 33 of us that took the final, but I know there were more than a few that were just borderline with their grades and needed to do well on the final. (We need an 80 average to make a C.) I fear for them because I saw that the class low on the final was a 63. I wonder how many flunked at the very end. Man, that would suck!:sniff:

what kind of .... person keeps track of this ?

I mean, I hear my classmates rattle off this kind of information; and I guess it's interesting to a point, but to actually try to do inquiries, investigation? and then to pass it on? to post it on a bulletin board? seems like putting effort into something that is just a total waste of time. Personally, I waste my time playing bejeweled on my PDA, and i feel guilty about that.

Huh??? I don't even know how to begin to answer that. Whatever....

In my class...umm...about...4 dropped or were dropped. We started out with 35 and are down to 31. One had to drop b/c of her husband, two dropped b/c they either couldn't handle the pressure and the way the prof taught, and yet another just failed. So, it's tough, but I didn't think I could get through it, but I did. Thank the Lord Almighty. So, all in all, we're not that badly hurt, but some of my friends had to leave, so that was bad.

RNin2007, where are you going to school?

I'm headed for USF in Tampa and they have pretty much keep the same number of patients. It's not an easy program by any stretch of the imagination, but they are very much for our success.

I am definately that kind of person!!!!!!!!!!!! In my A and P class I look to see what everyone makes on theit tests and compare to what I made. I see what % had an A. In A and P 1 everyone asked me what their average was. I was so worried about how well I was comparing since it was my first semester back to college after 15 years.

Just weird I guess,
