  1. Call your parents and reassure them that you are still alive and that you don't mean to not call but your life has taken a drastic turn and in about 1 and 1/2 years they will be proud to say that's my son or daughter the RN

  4. Just like everyone else I think it is anxiety over going back to work. Normal anxiety. Alittle fear is always good it sharpens your senses. Good Luck
  5. Wish you the best of luck. I don't believe that you should be kept from turning your life around. I'm from Pa. and in nursing school (RN) and in Pa if you have a felony conviction your unable to get a license. Our school did a criminal background check and if you had a felony conviction they refused you because you would not be able to get a license. Hope everything works out fro you. I would contact someone with the state and see if they can help you in anyway.:wink2:
  6. I took classes at 2 different colleges and took my high school algebra and chem on line. You do what you have to do so that you are 2 steps ahead. I just started nursing school in August and have all but 1 of my college credits out of the way. I'm glad I did it that way because I would be pulling my hair out by this time. We've had so many drop aready because they just couldn't do the full time. I know I would have thought about it and probably dropped out if I was full-time and doing what some have to do. i graduate in June 2007. Do what ever it takes to get through and if that means taking classes all over the place do it. What ever it takes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK HUGS
  7. I recommend that you get the rolling backpack!!! The books I have that are great are Nursing care Plans by Doenges-Moorhouse-Geisser and Portable RN by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins and make sure you have plenty of notecards and everything you type have it saved on disks or Cd's because you can always go back to your saved material and just edit and revise instead of retyping. Tape record all lectures. You can listen to them anytime. Driving to school or when ever. I relisten to all the lectures and this way if you miss it in your notes... You'll catch it when you relisten. Good Luck.
  8. THANKS A MILLION. I checked out the web-sites and WOW. I just started with care plans and you don't know how great this is.
  9. This is my first year in nursing school. I completed my college credits and so I'm doing basic nursing clinicals and skills. Some days it is so hard to remember every thing. I started keeping little notecards of all the important handouts. i shrink them down on my computer and keep them in my pockets where ever I go. And I do mean where every I go!!!!!! Shopping for groceries I study. At the doctors office I study!!!! At my son's football game at half-time I study. I find that I open my mouth now and the answer comes out and I amm suprised at the fact that i know that answer. clfewtrn
