See though plastic coated "nurses" selling bags most of us can't afford? Thank god we got rid of the hats and dresses.

RANT:
God, after this last insane week at nursing school, seeing stuff like that just pisses me off! I'm working my rear end off to get into a highly skilled profession, but one which seems to be protrayed mostly as a bunch of slutty hos. I just want to beat someone over the head with one of those bags! Although, I am glad I don't have to wear one of those hats...

You mean you DON'T wear high heeled pumps at work?
What does it spell on their hats?

Louis Vuitton one of the models is even holding the bag with their pattern all over it.
Well, ROFL, I sure as heck wouldn't know that pattern from a K-Mart one!
:lol2:Lol yep guess I shouldn't assume everyone knows, cause you know what they say about ASSuming.

I am imagining those high heels after a morning in the ER not to mention where on earth I'd store that bag at work without it becoming a very, very expensive, self-contained superfund site.
And who knew that Louis Vuitton was marketing high end women's bags to heterosexual men??
Honestly, I think it's a stupid ad campaign, but how many nurses are they really going to alienate away from purchasing a $1500 handbag?
I think I am less bothered by the "slutty ho" stereotype than the "do nothing moron" stereotype. I'm not entirely sure why though.

Ain't it the truth ...
It would seem to go against the first rule of showmanship -- know your audience.
The imagery of the high fashion industry contains more than enough material for anyone to complete a PhD in abnormal psychology.
Same here, although I can't figure out why either.

Yeah, really! What good nurse doesn't wear high heels to work. I find that my heels are really useful in helping me reach the mayo stand in the OR.

I want to know why they all have gas masks on? Does the public assume we clean up smelly substances all the time???
On the other hand...not a bad idea....
