I graduated in 1996, at my ceremony, I remember getting a lamp, and cap, but I remember no pin. Is this common practice for LPN's to be pinned?

Depends on the school. Our local LVN school does not pin but I have seen LVNs from other schools with pins.

I graduated last December...wow! Almost a year since I've become a nurse! Anyway...we were pinned :)

I just graduated this past June, and we were pinned, along with all the classes before ours. Depends on the school, I guess.

My class (96) was pinned, but not capped.

I am a RN student at the moment, but my mother just graduated LPN school about a month and a half ago (and already passed boards, I'm so proud of her)! Anyways, they had a capping ceremony at the half-way point of their course and then they got pinned at their graduation.

My class got caps, lamps and pins. I think that this should be; we are, of course, nurses as well.

I graduated in 1983 and we got beautiful gold pins, and caps. Didn't get a lamp, though!

Pinned, capped and a lamp for LPN school, just a pin for RN graduation. I kinda felt the others in my class got cheated.
