  1. I had the same problem back in April. My stats weren't that great, but I applied for a single school in my hometown and didn't even get an interview. It was a huge letdown. I brushed myself off, obtained my CCRN application and then applied to 10 different schools. The very first one i interviewed at accepted me and have gotten interviews at all the other schools. I would definately recommend getting your CCRN.
  2. I have applied to 10 schools total. I have heard back from one other than RSNA in Tennessee and I have an interview there in 2 weeks.
  3. I am applying to RSNA. I actually got a call from them yesterday morning setting up an interview with me in November! Im excited about it. I turned in my application about 3-4 weeks ago.
  4. I applied to union but didn't get in.
  5. I have quite a few in. Im from TN. Gooding Institute UNF Texas Wesleyan UNC Charlotte Wake Forest Raleigh School if NA Murray State MTSA Union University UTHSC Memphis
  6. Thanks for the info. I was looking forward to applying to the school but I suppose it isn't meant to be.
  7. Has anyone heard anything on this? I sent in my application for the this fall already and called them today asking if they received everything. I was told that there is a good chance that they won't be accepting another nurse anesthesia class. There is one starting soon and that could be the last one unless they affiliate with a university. Anymore details anyone?
  8. Tomorrow will be 9 days for me. Hope it shows up!
  9. What time of day do they post them? It has been 8 days now and mine still isn't up. This is getting ridiculous.
  10. You pay $8 to Pearson Vue and you find out in 48 hours
  11. I took boards Sunday and am still waiting for mine as well as I don't get RN pay until it can be pulled up on TN BON site. Others at work say it takes 7-10 days for it to post.
  12. After we pull femoral lines on my floor we use 4x4s. Usually put a pressure dressing made out of 4x4s taped down with silk tape or elastiplast depending on the doctor. This is for the docs that close using manual pressure and his usually come back with lines because he gives them quite a bit of heparin. The other docs use perclose or minx and they come to our floor from the cath lab with a few 4x4s covered with a clear bandage. Don't have to do anything special with them...usually change the dressing to a bandaid after 3-4 hours.
  13. I took my nclex RN this morning and got 122 questions. 13 SATA and 2 Med calc. The trick says I passed so here is to hoping.
  14. This helped me on the test Infection Control Mnemonics - Nursing for Nurses
  15. Hey everybody. Took my NCLEX this morning at 8am. I ended up with 122 questions. I had 2 med calc and 13 SATA. Took me about an hour and 15 minutes to take the test. Just got back to the hotel room and did the PV trick and got the good pop-up! I'm crossing my fingers that I passed! Quite a bit of Infection control, pharm, and delegation/priority. Most of the pharm questions were more along the lines of side effects with the medication than what they are for. The Mneumonics really helped with the infection control questions so definately study them!
