I graduated in 1996, at my ceremony, I remember getting a lamp, and cap, but I remember no pin. Is this common practice for LPN's to be pinned?
Both my Mom and Aunt have pins from their LPN programs.
I have my Aunt's LPN pin. (She was also my Godmother, died post-MVA years ago.) I thought about using her pin for my pinning ceremony, as we had to provide our own. But, the pin said both LPN and the school she graduated from on it, so I decided that the emotional props (in abstenia) to her and to my Mom weren't outweighed by the time and energy I had invested to get an RN. (It would have been so cool though...)
