Do you disclose AN to coworkers

Do any of you SN folks let your coworkers know that you are on AllNurses ?

If so, do you disclose your username ?

Are you comfortable with this ?

Just curious. I do not want anyone I work with to know or identify me on here.

Thanks !

But she's not purple. My wife has no interest and she is a nurse and subs here at times.

But, she did come back in here (she is working on her little brother's graduation announcements and had a question about it). She needed to show me what she had been working on on my computer. She almost caught me talking about her :

I realize I've sometimes given more away about where I work and the issues I've had. So if I were to disclose my AN username to coworkers, they can see my posts and I'll get hosed.

LOL. Oh, and it is against company policy to hand out likes not earned missy (at least in MY warped mind). It actually made me laugh, and made a difficult night that much better. Oh, and this would have been a reply, but apparently, I need 15 topics to reply.

BTW, before anyone thinks I lost the rest of my mind, this was a reply to you Far :)

Yea, you pointing that out to me made me laugh, too.

I should really stop sleep posting.

None of my coworkers really talk to me so it's never come up. But I would never. Anonymity is very important to me. Like Batman.

I have told a few about AN, but never given my username. I really don't want anyone to know what I say outside of work. I work at a small hospital and it would not be hard to figure it out so I try not to say too much.

No flippin way!!

The principal's liason (or whatever she is) asked me today if my job gets lonely being the only medical person in the building...I almost said no way because I have you guys. But then I was afraid she'd come here and see what I'm really up to with the lice in a baggie and red thong underwear so I had to pretend and look pitiful like I'm really lonely here alone in my clinic.

OH, and my Mom? She stalks us. She knows ALL of you.

She gets annoyed at Davey Do. A lot.

She saw OldDude's butt.

She's a retired ED and SN.

And she wears pink on Wednesdays. Because she's fetch like that.

I love your Mom Far.

Not an SN, but I must answer:

No, No, and Hell No!

By happenstance, one other former coworker knows I'm on here. Maybe one of my old bosses is; but once I learned that I was like "Allnurses, what's that?" and never mentioned it again.

We can never be truly anonymous in a public Internet forum, and that's also why I never try to post anything that I wouldn't say in real life.

Me neither.

Oh HELL no!

That said, I was at my local Panera this afternoon, and there was a gaggle of nursing students taking up the biggest tables at lunchtime (the place was packed and there were little old ladies cruising around for a place to eat their lunch) with their laptops and their books. They had been studying and they were apparently on a study break -- not eating or drinking anything, you see, just cruising on AN and arguing about the latest iteration of the "Nurse Bully" thread. I could hear every word. I SO wanted to walk up to their table and say "I'm Ruby Vee."
