This was on a Gallup poll survey given to all employees at my facility. It was mixed in with all kinds of other questions relating to my job satisfaction.
Well, I do have a best friend at work. Let me tell you it makes all the difference in the world. I don't know what I would do without her!!! Now I like a lot of the nurses I work with, but isn't it great to have someone who you really get along with? Someone you can TRUST! It's great to know you have someone at work who will always have your back.
So, I was just wondering, Do you have a best friend at work?
No, not a best friend but definately a couple of people who I know I can confide in and with whom I get along with very well and always feel better when we work the same days. I'd call them the next best to a best friend.
I have worked with my best friend in the past and there were not any problems.
We all got a survey and the questions were like...
Would you give up 10% of your hourly rate to have 2 extra PTO days per year?
Would you prefer your insurance premiums go up by 10% or prefer to continue your annual raise?
Really really odd questions...
I am still in nursing school, but I do have a best friend at school. She is great. It sure does make things better at school. We tell each other everything. I know that if something happened that she would have my back, as I would hers. Hopefully, after we graduate, we can work together. It's amazing how God puts special people in your life.
mmmmmmmmm........ she is my friend at work, but not outside of work. We talk about "work" stuff and would do anything for each other at work, but I dunno I just don't have the desire to be friends with her outside of work. So does that qualify as a best friend at work? I know sounds strange.......
Tom, thats not always the case. Sometimes it does work. Hey I'm thinkin, Tom,I know you, why am I even posting to try to change your view...never will, on anything!:lol2:
hows your swing today..hope you got a round in!
Wasnt swinging today
was running around Universal Studios whaile my Daughter was in labor all day giving me another granddaughter.
they have a lot of neat stuff at Universal Studios in Orlando, very cool
I am doubly blessed in that I have not one, but two best friends at work. These are the girls I would jump in to the deep end of the ocean for and I know they would do the same for me. We have worked the trenches together and, no matter how bad it gets, as long as we're there together, we know we have it covered! I think I'm a pretty darn good nurse, but I know working with these two makes me that much better!

I do. We actually have switched departments now, but still work at the same facility. We bounce thoughts and feelings off each other all the time and it's great.
I've always been very careful about what I tell my co-workers, but I do appear to be outwardly open and friendly. In reality, I do measure what I say and am very private. My friendship with my best friend developed slowly over time and I know that I can absolutely trust her.
