Hey helpful people,I am in my 6th week of orientation and somehow made it this far without a digital watch. My normal wrist watch battery just died so I am in need of a new one. My preceptor lives by her apple watch, always setting timers etc. I am still building up some savings so I do not wanna splurge on an apple watch just yet. Any recommendations before I just go to Target and grab one?? 1 Likes

I have had great success with clip fob watches (the brand I have is NW pro -I got it amazon for less than $20). I've got the watch attached to my name badge. It glows so easy to read in low light situations. Second hand allows me to count vitals. Unfortunately it doesn't have timers.Especially now with increased PPE, this watch is super handy for me. Bonus that it is easy to disinfect. 1 Likes

Apr 13, 2020 There are some smart watches that work with both Apple and Android products that are not much more expensive than a good digital watch. Especially if you opt for an older model. I have the Samsung Galaxy watch which works wonderfully with my phone. I also hear good things about the Garmin and Fitbit smart watches. They are not the cheapest option but it is very handy to be able to glance at notifications on your wrist when working. Plus the easy to use timer is very handy. If you decide to look into one just be aware that battery life varies greatly. My Samsung watch gets a good 5 days but some cheaper models will require daily charging. 1 Likes

It's a Timex "ironman" watch. https://www.Google.com/search?q=timex+ironman+watchIt tells you the exact time (including seconds), the date and day of the week. It also has your regular watch functions like alarms and timers (which I personally don't use).I've used it for almost a year now, I think. I swear by it now!Good luck! I love this watch! 2 Likes

Although I love my Apple Watch, I do not think that can be disinfected well enough post shift. On 4/16/2020 at 7:10 PM, JabuJabule said:I got a $30 digital watch from Walmart that I LIVE by.
