Hello All!
I will be starting my hospital based CNA course which lasts 2 months before I jump into LVN training (15 months) and it will be costing me a whopping $32,000! I read on other ppls posts that even $15,000 was mind blowing! Could this be so? HELP!:uhoh21::uhoh21::uhoh21::uhoh21:

I only pay $90 a credit hour at my local community college. I also have a previous degree, and I have finished all my sciences, so the core nursing classes for my RN program will cost me about $3000 total. However, let's not talk about what the previous degree costs me:)

Seems rather exorbitant! I also paid around $8,000 for my pn program which included the CNA program, books, uniforms, stethascope, etc. I'm not transitioning LPN to RN to the tune of about $75 per credit hour at a local community college..... an excellent program at a very reasonable cost. Considering I'm not taking out any more school loans if I can help it, all this is coming out of my pocket. I wish my job had tuition reimbursement!
I will pay $36,000 for a direct entry nursing program. In 15 months we graduate with a MS in nursing. The $36K covers tuiton, fees, uniforms, insurance and books.
It is expensive, but I think I am getting a fair deal, since it is a VERY well respected private school with an excellent repuation in various departments (nursing. Biology, PT, education) etc.
I worked out my repayment scheduale before I applied. Even with a conservative salary, my frugal lifestyle will have my debt paid off in 24-30 months (without any hospital loan repayment)
I'm on a timeline, so I have to ove quickly but thoughtfully. If I had kids or anyone depending on my salary post-NCLEX, I would not do this. If knew I couldn't live very frugally for 30 months to pay off my debt, I would never do this

Ok, I just did my calculations for my RN-BSN concurrent program and got a grand total of 6632.40. Granted I have not started my program yet but I am accepted for the Fall and that's what I will pay for my 2 year program, graduate with my ASN and then 1 semester after that I will have my BSN...not bad is it? Also, my CC doesn't have a waiting list, they accept on academic merit and if all of you pre-req's are finished. GOOD DEAL!!

Thats way too expensive I don't think I would pay those prices for lvn program check out community colleges. If I am lucky enough to get into my school its very inexpensive schools in Ca are great finiancially.
our classes are only $20.00/hr so one semester of nursing school is about $200.00 for 10credit hours. Of cource you have books, uniforms etc...but still it will be under 5,000 when I am through.
