Did the PVT trick and paid the 200

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi all. I'm a graduate from a foreign nursing school. So I took the NCLEX-RN earlier this morning in MD. My test started at around 8:30 and I was done by 10:30 mostly because I decided that those questions that I had no clue on (which were admittedly quit a few), I'd just guess and keep moving.

At around 1:30 this afternoon, I tried the PVT trick and it took me all the way to the end where I put in my cc info and it was accepted. I'm awaiting a new ATT from my Board... I'm so discouraged right now because if this PVT trick really works, then that means I've failed.

I'd really like to know if there is anyone out there who actually paid the 200 and later on found out that they had passed. I've read so many posts on getting "the good popup" and passing and not enough on people who have actually gotten the bad pop-ups. Anyone out there who has been in this situation or something similar please reach out to me through this forum. Thanks

If you had so many questions that you just guessed on, I would say the likelihood that you passed is very small

Yea. I can honestly say I did random guessing on at least 15 questions! 😕

Wow really?! I sure do hope I fall in that minority group! Lol I've read so many forums where some say they were taken to the cc screen and later found out they passed... But I haven't read of even one person yet who attested to paying but later finding out they passed!

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Everyone goes to the credit card screen since 8/2014

Most people who pay HAVE failed the test. It's a much smaller group that pay the fee and then find out they passed. And like JustBeachy said, getting to the credit card screen now doesn't have the same meaning it did prior to a year ago: now everyone has to submit the financial info to do the PVT.

And that's the reason why we're constantly cautioning people to NOT do what you did, that is....risk non-refundable (expensive) fees unnecessarily.

Time will tell with you. Good luck.

It's only $8 for early results, though. I'd rather wait 48 hours, pay $8, and know for sure, than risk $200 on the PVT for uncertain results one day earlier.

I guess this trick actually works because I paid the 8 yesterday and got my results: Failed! Oh well...

Hi! I'm a foreign educated nurse and I did not attend any formal review class as I am currently in Australia. I have posted an article on how I passed on my first and only attempt. I have listed all the materials I used on there. They might work for you. Don't give up. Pick yourself up and try again. Good luck! :)

Sorry to hear you failed! :( This happens to some of the best nurses. I used a empty visa gift card when I did the PVT so I did not risk the $200.Maybe that will work for you next time. Good luck!!!

I believe you will do much better the next time and pass. I'm just curious. What number did you stop? You took the NCLEX RN right?

I graduated from Philippines 2013.I just took the NCLEX RN yesterday morning 8 am, i cant explain how i feel after the test..I did the PV trick about 5 hours later and still got the good pop up till now ..Im hoping that its real..I have a friend took it same day and time as mine and she asked me to do PV trick for her and the payment went through..

But I think that during the test if I am so nervous cant concentrate on the question coz I can hear my heart pumping...but my friend she is convinced that she failed but well see..Its not 100% accurate. but i fail i would surely take it again, now i know what to expect and less nervous the next time around.. So God bless you on your studying..This is just a test and we dont give up. Its a challenge but we can certainly overcome this with flying colors in the end :)

Hi. Thanks! Where can I find the article, please?
