Did the PVT trick and paid the 200

Published

Hi all. I'm a graduate from a foreign nursing school. So I took the NCLEX-RN earlier this morning in MD. My test started at around 8:30 and I was done by 10:30 mostly because I decided that those questions that I had no clue on (which were admittedly quit a few), I'd just guess and keep moving.

At around 1:30 this afternoon, I tried the PVT trick and it took me all the way to the end where I put in my cc info and it was accepted. I'm awaiting a new ATT from my Board... I'm so discouraged right now because if this PVT trick really works, then that means I've failed.

I'd really like to know if there is anyone out there who actually paid the 200 and later on found out that they had passed. I've read so many posts on getting "the good popup" and passing and not enough on people who have actually gotten the bad pop-ups. Anyone out there who has been in this situation or something similar please reach out to me through this forum. Thanks

You should have tried pvt at least 24 hours after taking the exam. Because the nclex is scored twice. But now since they already accepted your payment... you might not get the good pop up anymore... and might say "has an open registration" when checked again. But this doesn't mean you failed yet cause you have done pvt too early. Now it may be a pass or fail... you won't find the pvt reliable anymore cause it accepted your payment earlier that 24 hours... Maybe you can just pay for quick result after 48 hours...

Hoping for the best... i hope you still pass. Please update.

Yes it's happened. Either you paid for a new test because only your first scoring had been done (and it was a fail) or even though the first score was passing you were simply one of the 'test' charges Pearson Vue has been doing more of lately. Doesn't matter, because all you know at this point is that you MIGHT have failed....but you DEFINITELY paid a non-refundable fee. :(

Nothing to do but wait.

Does anyone failed after getting the good pop up checked after 24 hours?

I was just so anxious... I'm still praying tho. Thank you... I'll definitely update my results here!

I don't know really...

Yes, they have.

I had a friend who paid $200 but found out she passed a week later...

If you had so many questions that you just guessed on, I would say the likelihood that you passed is very small

Off the top of my head, I can't recall someone who was unable to pay a fee (or PV didn't take their payment) when doing the PVT AFTER 24 hours finding out that they had failed. The OPPOSITE is something I most definitely have seen. People who have paid money--even after 24 hours--and finding they have passed.

If you've failed and are doing the PVT after 24 hours, I don't know of anyone who was NOT able to actually submit the payment (after all, it IS needed at that point so...).
