Background check for foreign RN with overseas experience
I can't deal with the wait anymore and I decided to call the third party vendor that company A used. I found out that my report is still on process. I guess I have to inquire about it again next week. Thank you for taking time to reply.:)

Background check for foreign RN with overseas experience
Hi everyone! It's been awhile since my last post.:) I'm a foreign RN with 3 years of hospital experience back in my home country and 2 years in another country as a nurse assistant. I have moved here in the US, to be with my husband. I've only been here for less than 4 months and I have sent out applications to different hospitals in this city where we live in. I luckily had 3 interviews. I have accepted 2 employment offers, and both are dependent on the result of my background check. I do not have any kind of charges from the countries I have been. All my credentials are legitimate. I have an unrestricted RN license here in the US and I have not been subjected to any complaint. I also have all my certifications updated. My question is: HOW LONG DOES A BACKGROUND CHECK FOR FOREIGN EDUCATED RN WITH OVERSEAS EXPERIENCE, TAKE? I have researched for an answer for about a week now from job forums and I can't find an estimated time frame. The company A is using HireRight and B is using PreCheck. It would be nice to hear from someone who had been in the same situation. To date, it has been 9 business days since company A initiated their background check, and 2 for company B. Thank you in advance for those who will provide information regarding this topic.:)

FENS Refresher Course
I graduated from a nursing school in the Philippines year 2010. I've had 3 years of hospital experience as an RN and 2 years as a CNA (in Australia). I passed my NCLEX-RN last year and I am registered under New Mexico with a single state license since I am a foreign nurse. I recently got engaged. I am planning to endorse my license to Texas as it is where my fiancé is stationed. My question is: Will they require me to take the FENS? or will I just need to pass the Nursing Jurisprudence exam (one of the requirements of TX BON) so I can get my Multi-state license? Thank you!

CGFNS
Hey! I'm an RN from davao city. San Pedro College batch 2010, currently in Australia. I am processing my CGFNS VISA SCREEN CERTIFICATE in the hope of finding a sponsor for an H1B visa. What you need is the CES verification to process your NCLEX-RN application. I have done this and I've already passed my NCLEX-RN. STEPS for CES: 1. Register on the CGFNS website and choose the service (CES) you need. 2. Pay the fee required on the application by credit card preferably. 3. Print the files from the website - Photo ID, License Verification Form (for PRC), Transcript Verification (for your school) 4. Upload a photo on the website, they will tell you the guidelines. (If you still have a copy of that photo we need for PRC license - with your name on the bottom of the picture - that will do.) 5. Send these files visa fax or air mail to PRC and your school and pay the fees for them to process it for you. These authorities will be the ones to send files to CGFNS. You can check if CGFNS has received the files from them through the website. 6. Constantly monitor CGFNS to check if they already have it if the school / PRC confirms that they already sent the documents. ************** message me. :) ************** :) Speak then. :)

People who have taken NCLEX, I have a question...
People view things differently. What's unimportant to you, may be important to them. Let them ask what they want to ask. After all, this is a discussion forum. If you don't think it's important...WHY WOULD YOU REPLY? :)

Hi! I'm a foreign educated nurse and I did not attend any formal review class as I am currently in Australia. I have posted an article on how I passed on my first and only attempt. I have listed all the materials I used on there. They might work for you. Don't give up. Pick yourself up and try again. Good luck! :)

People who have taken NCLEX, I have a question...
Hi! I'm a graduate of a foreign nursing school who passed on my FIRST and ONLY attempt. The NCLEX RN was the 4th Nurse License Exam that I passed. I am also a Registered Nurse in the Philippines (home country) , Abu Dhabi, and Saudi Arabia. I don't have a very high GPA. According to the Credentials Evaluation Services (which converts the grading system of a foreign country to US standards), I only have a 3.2. But yes, most of those who fail multiple times are international graduates just like me. Mostly, it's TEST ANXIETY that make people fail. Yet, there are also other factors to consider such as preparation. All you have to do is study, pray, believe in yourself, and manage your anxiety level during the day of the test. Good luck! :)
