Hi all. I'm a graduate from a foreign nursing school. So I took the NCLEX-RN earlier this morning in MD. My test started at around 8:30 and I was done by 10:30 mostly because I decided that those questions that I had no clue on (which were admittedly quit a few), I'd just guess and keep moving.
At around 1:30 this afternoon, I tried the PVT trick and it took me all the way to the end where I put in my cc info and it was accepted. I'm awaiting a new ATT from my Board... I'm so discouraged right now because if this PVT trick really works, then that means I've failed.
I'd really like to know if there is anyone out there who actually paid the 200 and later on found out that they had passed. I've read so many posts on getting "the good popup" and passing and not enough on people who have actually gotten the bad pop-ups. Anyone out there who has been in this situation or something similar please reach out to me through this forum. Thanks
Yes Im a foreign grad from the Philippines and im a registered nurse there and now here in the US.such an amazing blessing!!!! I thank God for giving me wisdom in all the studying I went through and He gave me victory...except here in CA..I cant work here in CA as a RN and I have no intentions of going back to school.. so I'l just take the LPN test and be done with it and work here in CA as an LPN :) that wouldnt make me a less nurse..probably the pay would be lower compared to RNs but as long as it would give me enough to eat and pay my bills that would be enough and a little bit of extras in my pocket..and when Lord open door for me to go to Vermont I'l work there as a RN coz I love that place sooo pretty :)
TO chickenegg..probably you did poorly but you can always improve..just continue to keep studying and understand it..you are also a foreign grad just like me ther maybe struggles but u can overcome it..look how many took NClex that didntt pass the first time..its not just foreign grad, ryt? It could be anyone..Just diligently study and not memorize but understand except the imp.lab values..You can take LPN test anytime when your ready..Im sure that LPN test would be challenging also but as long as we have enough knowledge and the strength from the Lord yes we can do it.:)
to chickenegg..what i used for studying is saunders 5th edition but I didnt read the book cover to cover coz its overwhelming..I only used the cd that comes with the book I dont worry about my scores as long as i understand the rationale..and i used ncsbn learning extension for 3 weeks..I only did the practise questions and youtube to refresh my mind how to do basic procedures like how to start a blood transfussion etc and I had a lippinkott book when I was studying nursing in the Philippines and it has a cd that comes with it also and I answered all the questions in that cd 3500 questions..everywhere in youtube or any website that has NCLEX question I did it and really understand why i got wrong..that worked for me.I hope you can find ways that would really work for you and your learning styles..Hoping the best for you :)

How PA BON is functioned is the license be post after 48hrs or Iam on the road to confusion .can anyone answer thanks.
You are definitely on the road to confusion, but let me see if I can help!
The "PVT", or Pearson Vue Trick, is nothing more than a system of guesswork. The idea is that if the registration program does allow you to register, you probably failed, if it does NOT, you probably passed. HOWEVER, there are many issues with it, it is NOT that simple, and anyone who wants to play with it is recommended to wait at least 24 hours AFTER the exam shuts off. Prior to a 24 hour wait, it's completely useless.
If you are seeking a license in a State that participates in PV's Quick Results program, you will be allowed to pay an $8 fee for the official Pass/Fail results. It is a certainty what the result is with this, because you are PAYING for this service.
In a State that does not participate, you will always see the "Results Unavailable" message when you try to do it.
Some States do post their updates on their websites frequently enough that people can find out if they have a license even faster than Quick Results; PA is (I BELIEVE, not sure) a State that seems to update fairly quickly. I seem to remember others saying they found their license info on the State BoN website faster than they could do Quick Results.
Other States, though, are much slower; California takes WEEKS.
I did the same I took my exam at 8 am and then Re-registered at 6pm same day. According to the forum we are supposed to wait 24hrs before submitting the credit card payment. I don't know official results yet. As soon as I do I will post. I took my exam on May 22, 2015 with 215 questions. Anyone else in the Same situation?
