Can anyone help me here, I'm planning to take the LVN exam because I just got denied by CABON because of the concurrency issue..I just want to know:
Method #3 - Equivalent Education and/or Experience(the PHARMACOLOGY course)Do I need to submit it also? and how? or I just need to submit only the
Method #2 - Graduates of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vocational Nursing.
BTW, I'm an international graduate, Registered Nurse from the Philippines but I can't sit for the NCLEX-RN exam that is why I decided to take this one. Hope someone can answer my question thank you.
Hi I'm living in SF too. Been going through posts regarding application for NCLEX-PN because I know I will be denied with NCLEX-RN with regards to my education in Manila. I am pretty confused also with the application process of LVN, can you please shed some light? I dont know what method I should take as I have no paid experience (employment), as it was all voluntary.
That's good for you. Lucky that you were granted the eligibility and att because people whom I have talked to in the last 4 years, they were able to speak with their analysts, explained everything, but still weren't able to get eligibility nor att and to sit for nclex. IEN (internationally educated nurses) don't just let these things happen without even trying to fight for what they deserve. It's juat that, CA BRN got strict and they enforce their rules. People were able to get in California Nursing schools and were able to be RNs here in California and I am one of them. To be honest my cases weren't concurrent so I have nothing to put something on the table to discuss for but I fought for it. But still I had to take the said courses Medsurg and OB and then I became an RN.
What I'm trying to say is you are lucky. That's great you did everything for you to get what you deserve. I am happy for you. It's just that, what worked for you might not be applicable to others but I hope those people who have concurrent cases will be able to appeal to the board to show them there is nothing wrong with their cases.

You guys need to keep reading the threads on a near daily basis, but people have been reporting with some success of various schools offering these very limited deficient courses (all with the exception of the San Diego county and area), but CA schools have been posted from Northern CA to Ventura county to the LA county recently.
Although, I'm sure there are many lurkers who simply look here in AN and never post up (which is fine and not a problem), found those mentioned schools and most likely by now, have really impacted the enrollment waiting list line up sheet.
As such, I'm sure many will try to get enrolled first then post up they got in, so since there are literally several thousands going after a possible few open spots, it's first-come, first-served and everyone else wait months to another year or two (and assuming you're still within the 3 year completion time frame).
