so there was a very mean employee im calling on the phone for my patient. After I hung up, I said ***** and an employee overheard me. This happened a few months ago and She reported it to the manager. And the manager wants to talk to me now. I feel sorry aboutit , I know I shouldnt have. It was at the end of the day and I was very stressed with high acuity patient loadand I needed to make sure the painet will be okay but she's hanging up on me. I have always been soft spoken and I would never do this again. I'm so sorry I said this.
I can hardly believe it!! I would not be worried at all. You coworker would never make it where I work. I consider myself a soft spoken person for the most part but I can sure swear it up with the best of them! My coworkers put me to shame and as long as pts or families aren't around, I'm fine with it. We all need to vent once in awhile and I know there are better ways, but none that work as quickly. :lol2:
Sometimes we make mistakes. We are human. Admit the mistake, take your lumps, and carry on :)
I was speaking with a fellow student last night and he told me he had been put on probabtion by the teacher. Apparently he said something inappropriate, the teacher was laughing and thought it was hilarious, but told the student he had to issue the report.
The student respected the teacher for this and the student and teacher now have a stronger bond.
Use this as a learning experience. Handle it gracefully and if the boss is a good manager, they will respect you for this.

All of these people are correct, that's ********. And yeah whoever that "employee" is needs to mind his/her own business and GET A LIFE! Have more confidence and stand up for yourself, for what you give of yourself to help your patients you are most certainly worth it! If your manager doesn't have your back, that's just plain sad. I suggest even printing up the replies in this thread to share with your manager just how many healthcare professionals have your back on this!
