CSULB-ELMSN Fall 2011

Hey everyone so I have been waiting for a couple of years to finally have all of the pre-reqs done to be able to apply to nursing school. I am finally finished and am just waiting for CSULB-elmsn's program which will start in Fall 2011. I want to know who else is planning on applying so we can have each other to go through the process with and I'm not going to lie I would really like to see what the competition is like. Quick question for you guys who just took the TEAS... Does your results say Cal State Long Beach BSN. I am just curious? And when it says program mean I am guessing that is just for the BSN or do you think it includes the ELMSN's as well. My results say the program mean is 69% which seems really low to me?

Mine says bsn as well.

The ELMSN is classified first as an additional BS degree program (remember that's how we all were supposed to classify ourselves on the university application?), so I think it is the average for all BSNs. I think that average consists of everyone that has taken the TEAS for a particular degree, not everyone who actually got into a program.

Yeah SugarnSass you are definitely right... still seems kinda low!! But Hey that is a good sign I guess... I hate the waiting, it is killing me!!!!!

Im thinking the scores are lower because the test is so new. There is less scores to average things out and the test is a little more difficult from what I heard. Just speculating.

The last few days have been filled with me wondering if they know if I am in or not. We could find out next week though if the schedule as the same as the previous year. Almost there!

I hope so! If this is to test our patience level, I would have failed a long time ago. I would be curious to see the application pool stats later. I think it's nice LB actually posts this so at least you have a general idea why you were or not accepted.

I agree. I'm very interested in knowing the stats for this year. I feel like the nursing school market got even more competitive. It will be nice to have this years stats so we can finally see a trend.

Anyone accept an acceptance to another nursing program and will decline CSULB if they get in? Just curious! :)

Hello everyone! I am new to this thread! Somehow I was searching for Cal State Long Beach and never came across this thread until now, but I'm glad we have a thread for Fall2011. To answer your question Malefocker, I got accepted to Azusa Pacific University for their ELMSN's program, but my #1 school is Long Beach! CRAZY i know!. I applied to Long Beach last year and waited all the way until school started to find out i ended up being #2 on the alternate list! I was devastated! So I applied again this year with my fingers crossed!

I was reading the previous posts about Long Beach not having a class for Fall2011. So the applicants that applied for Fall2011 won't start school until Fall2013?? Thats a 2 year wait! If that is the case, then I will surely have to deny my acceptance (if I ever do get accepted hehe). So does this mean they won't have applications for next year since they're no class starting Fall2012 also?
