CSULB-ELMSN Fall 2011

Published

Hey everyone so I have been waiting for a couple of years to finally have all of the pre-reqs done to be able to apply to nursing school. I am finally finished and am just waiting for CSULB-elmsn's program which will start in Fall 2011. I want to know who else is planning on applying so we can have each other to go through the process with and I'm not going to lie I would really like to see what the competition is like. Goodluck to everyone. I look forward to meeting you in the fall!

@ Cuddle Cheek, I have had bad (or almost bad) experiences the last couple times I have had to park at CSULB. The first time I got a ticket for "backing into a parking space," which is ridiculous because I did not back into a parking space. I drove forward into one so all I wouldn't have to back out later :) The second time I was in the information session thinking to myself the entire time "I think I may have accidentally parked in a Staff Only lot..." :o Anyhow, get a general day pass and park in student spaces and you should be golden.

@ BeachsideNic :yeah:I am excited because I have truly come to love St. Mary's because of the CCE program. How did your interview go? I hope you got in!!!

It is 5$ to buy a day pass just pay the 5$ and park in the student parking... if you get there early you shouldn't have any problems finding a spot... there is an information booth they will tell you exactly where to go.

beachsidenic... good luck let me know if you get in! I am so fricken excited... trying to get together all of my immunizations. I actually went and got BLS certified today! :)

Is anyone planning to take Patho or Pharm in the summer?

I am not sure how I am going to get through the next 30 days waiting to hear back from the school. Trying to find something to do to pass the time. The fact that score cut offs increased 0.37 points from 2009 to 2010 makes me wonder if there will be another dramatic increase for this year. The average acceptance stayed roughly the same though which gives me hope. Has anyone heard anything more about the program stats (# of applicants, etc.)?

Anyone taking the TEAS in the next few days? Best of luck to those who are!

I know makes me really nervous as well... I am taking the TEAS on Friday... I haven't heard anything about # of applicants or anything else but I am hoping they will mention something at the TEAS test.. if they do I will be sure to post on here. I am currently taking patho and pharm at goldenwest ... if you plan on taking those classes over the summer send me a PM I will tell you which teacher to take it from at Goldenwest we are halfway through and I am getting an A... Pretty awesome teacher and class!

Thank you Malefocker! I would love to hear your recommendations and I will definitely PM you about that. I am glad to hear you successful in the courses!

I am sure you will do great on Friday! Thank you in advanced for posting any information you hear! I just finished up my last effort on the test yesterday and now the real wait begins for me.

I am also taking the TEAS on Friday... and taking Pharmacology at LA Harbor College... The TEAS IV was ridiculously easy, so I'm hoping the TEAS V will be the same... I''m excited to start my CCE at St. Mary's.. just got all my immunizations.. ouch!

Congrats BeachsideNic... I am excited about being a CCE as well. See you on Friday

Woohoo! It's FINALLY April and the application period ends tomorrow. I have a feeling we'll get the decision this month. I can't wait to finally just know already.

Took the TEAS today... she didn't mention anything about applications... :(

Darn it! Thanks for letting us know Malefocker. I hope the TEAS went well.

I took the TEAS today as well... nice to see you again, MF...I thought the Reading and Grammar were much easier on this version than on TEAS IV. I really just need this score for my county Application, but if it improves CSULB, then all the better.

lol... yeah I don't think I did better on version 5 than I did on 4... but I guess we will just have to wait and see!
