CSULA ABSN Summer 2021

Hi Everyone!

This is a forum for CSULA's Accelerated BSN program starting June (Summer) 2021. 

Applications just opened & are due in January. I was surprised that there wasn't a forum already created so thought I’d create one so we can keep each other updated ?

Hello! I'm a little late to this page but I wanted to comment to follow 

I mailed my application on the 11th and it was delivered on the 13th. Haven't received a confirmation email saying they received my application yet but thank you everyone for sharing info and updates!

Hi!! Yes, I see no harm in applying to an ADN just in case.  It is inexpensive I would rather not risk having no school accept me!!  Hoping for the best at all schools!

Same! I don't want to wait another semester to do this again if I don't get in. I want to dive in and get started ASAP, even if it means going the ADN route and bridging to a BSN.

Got my invitation to interview! So happy to get it, really helped with my imposter syndrome today.

Congrats!!  I’m so excited and nervous to interview.  You are worthy of acceptance, don’t let your mind tell you otherwise!  What dates did they offer in your email?  I wonder if they are doing 60 interviews like they have done in the past.

There were 10 slots available over four different days in Feb.

 

Is there typically only 60 interviews? With about 30 admits?

I saw in past forums that they did about 60 interviews for 30 spots!

I actually just got a confirmation yesterday. My application arrived there on the 12th so it takes a little bit! I bet you will get yours soon.

Hoping they send out more interview invites soon too.

FYI to those waiting for confirmation that their application materials have been received: today (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) let me know that she received my application packet, but she is reviewing them in the order that they were postmarked. Mine was delivered on January 12th and she hasn’t reviewed mine. She also just started teaching a couple nursing courses this week - so she thanked me for continuing to be patient. as she is pretty busy. We just gotta sit tight!

are there any current students that can share their experience about their interview? And what advice you might have? CSULA is my top choice and im sooo nervous!
