Thanks for the replies and links. Not offended, I appreciate you trying to get your point across but I’m still not understanding. As I said in my original post, I realize it’s approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing: I don’t understand however you point that BON approval = ACEN accreditation. You say that it is ACEN approved but in the very last link you sent it says that LA CONAH is, “a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing,” which to my understanding would mean they are not currently accredited by the ACEN but might be after July 12th, 2023. All of this stuff is new to me and I’m just trying to understand if going to this school, which to the best of my understanding is a candidate for ACEN accreditation but not currently accredited, could impact my future career or education opportunities.

It’s not on their website and when I looked up ACEN accredited schools in CA on the ACEN website, LA College of Nursing and Allied Health does not show up. Really I’m just wondering how important it is that an associates program has this, especially if you ever want to work out of state. It doesn’t seem like very many associates programs are accredited by ACEN and I can’t find any in Los Angeles that are.

How about ACEN accreditation? I've read threads that say to "run away" from any program that doesn't have one of these accreditations and don't understand why, ADN programs included.

One of the programs I am applying to is an ADN program (Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health) that is approved by the CA BRN and is regionally accredited by WASC. However, I keep reading about the importance of CCNE accreditation and they don't have that. I'm wondering if that could be a problem if I ever want to work as an RN in another state. If I go to this program I most likely would eventually do a BSN bridge program at a college that is CCNE accredited. They have a partnership with another local University so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm really confused about the importance of these different accreditations at different levels of schooling and how it could impact me down the line. What impact does accreditation have on getting licensed out of state or getting higher degrees? If I want to enroll in an NP Program some day should I be paying attention to ADN accreditation?

it might depend on your EFC? My EFC was really low so they offered me tons of loans that would cover tuition and living expenses. No grants though ?

Mine also says incomplete. I was getting the register to vote message too, but I logged in on my phone and was able to click through some messages to get to the student center page.

I actually just got a confirmation yesterday. My application arrived there on the 12th so it takes a little bit! I bet you will get yours soon. Hoping they send out more interview invites soon too.

Did everyone who got an interview invite also get a confirmation that their application materials had arrived? Wondering which to hope for first!

Wow, how early did you apply? Still waiting on my confirmation email too but they only received it on Tuesday. When are they offering interviews?

I got one before I even applied so I don't think they have anything to do with acceptance.

Oh wow. That makes a lot more sense why they are not accepting new applicant then. It sounds like your cohort had the biggest shock to deal with. Will you all be starting in the fall then?

Wow, just saw this. I'm surprised they are cancelling. I would think the vaccination process would be well underway by Fall 2021 and they could handle a new class.

I just double checked the wording on that question and it says, "Please indicate what influenced you the most to apply to the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing?" It's in the Sources of Contact section where you check boxes about how you heard of them. Pretty sure it's aimed more for admissions to get an idea of how they can tailor their outreach; I doubt it will have any sort of impact on your application. If you're really worried about it, maybe try emailing admissions?

I’m pretty sure it won’t close at 12:00AM. I’m in the same boat with someone finishing their letter submission tomorrow.
